Sonny/Shea, sorry to bring his name up again, but do you think that LSU has a shot at Carl Lawson now? Did anyone on staff sneak a visit to see him last week, any plans for this week, or phone calls made to him? A lot has changed at Auburn. With Trooper Taylor, Mike Pelton, and Brian VanGorder gone and LSU has everything to offer: title contender, winning tradition, pipeline to NFL (especially for DE and DT), solid academics, and chance for early playing time.

I haven't heard anything new on Lawson outside of the staff looking to get him in on a visit. I am anxious to see how quickly Malzahn and his new staff get in there and get these committed kids locked up, because you would have to think there will be a defect somewhere along the line. Dee Liner already seems to be closer to Alabama. But with Lawson, I haven't really heard anything. Bower/Foster are the main two guys that I've heard LSU really trying to make inroads with.

With Baker and Swanson gone, the only folks I wonder about are grade guys, but I know Tevin Lawson made some good ground up in the classroom, as has Jeremy Cutrer. And I know the staff looks to keep both guys on board.

Seen him play and gotten to watch him in a camp setting, but never been more excited than I am for Saturday night's Barbe vs. Rummel game in the Superdome. Hope to run into some of y'all down there.

I wouldn't doubt if Frank Wilson's name comes up but I look for them to make a strong run at Todd Monken.
