LSU nabs Karr's Washington

LSU's Boys from the Boot Junior Day was a huge success in terms of getting top names onto campus.

Isaiah Washington has committed to LSU's 2015 class

Now, there's even bigger news to come out of the day's events.

Edna Karr High defensive end Isaiah Washington tells the Geaux247 staff that he committed to LSU on Saturday afternoon.

"I went ahead and committed," Washington said.

We have confirmed the commitment with multiple sources on the LSU side.

"I talked with Coach Frank after I had met with Coach Miles, and that's when I let him know I wanted to commit. He was just really excited.

"He said it doesn't get any better than this."

Washington is ranked by the 247Composite as the No. 26 weak side defensive end in the country. He is the sixth commitment to LSU's 2015 class.

LSU has moved up two spots in the 247Sports team rankings with the commitment from Washington.

LSU recruiting coordinator Frank Wilson, who led the charge on Washington's recruitment out of New Orleans, moves up one spot in the 247Sports Recruiter Rankings and is now ranked No. 5 overall.
