Les Miles said he is staying put at LSU

LSU announced on Wednesday that Les Miles had received a seven-year contract with an increase in salary, putting an end to talks of Miles leaving for Arkansas.

Great to hear. Saban would have strung it out for a while. Joe Alleva and CLM are class acts. I guess the haters will have to fume for another 7 years.

No reason to prolong anything.. he wants to coach LSU and Alleva wants him as our HC and for good reason.. 10-2 with all the losses we took on this year, and the inexperience at key positions is pretty darn good.. He's a strong leader and runs a good program.

I'm really happy these rumors can be tossed in the can.
Miles, who is not perfect, has done a remarkable job guiding this LSU ship. His record and achievements here can not be dismissed.
LSU is in a good place - the SEC has been a bloody ground - witness five to six coaching changes in two years.
I look for Miles to finish his career here at LSU with wins and championships.
