The Louisiana National Guard and Geaux247 have named Loreauville wide receiver Rhashid Bonnette and Silliman Institute linebacker Collin McDowell South Louisiana Players of the Week for the sixth week of the high school football season.
Rhashid Bonnette takes home award for his big game against Opelousas Catholic
Bonnette (6-0, 170, Jr.) caught nine passes for 274 yards with three touchdowns in a 46-23 win over Opelousas Catholic. He is second in the state in receiving yards with 869 and 10 touchdowns on 36 receptions.
Sgt. 1st Class Jory Latiolais and the Louisiana National Guard want to congratulate Loreauville High School and their wide receiver Bonnette for his offensive player of the week honor.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound McDowell intercepted two passes and was in on 14 tackles – four for loss – in a 24-21 win over Brookhaven (Miss.).

The Louisiana National Guard and Geaux247 will name a winner each week on the offensive and defensive side of the ball and each winner will be recognized by that school’s local National Guard recruiter.
