    • Thanks, Shea. Nice recap on the recruits present, and hope they each enjoyed the game. Hope O'Bryant's injury isn't serious.

    • When O'Bryant went out, it looked like either a cramp or a dead-leg, but obviously it was more serious when he never left the locker room. He is a very important piece to the puzzle and he will be needed going forward.

    • Great news on Beckwith skipping the Alabama visit and going to LSU again. Things are looking good for LSU.

    • I wonder how hard Alabama is really recruiting Beckwith right now

They want him from everything I get from the Bama side of things but has just been hindered in how much they can actually do right now. That's why I think it's going to be real interesting to see what happens when they can hit the road the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

Also, if they are in the SEC Championship Game, that will take another week off their schedule of being able to get out and make in-home visits.

    • Jarran Reed DT from East Miss. JUCO.a native of Goldsboro, N.C. offers from Florida, Arkansas, Miss. St. & UNC

Sonny, Doesn't look like LSU has recruited this guy that decommitted from UNC. Any chance they might be interested?
Read about him visiting Ole Miss yesterday. He decommitted. Wonder if Gilmore might have me him.

---From yesterday's Ole Miss visit article:
Reed, a native of Goldsboro, N.C., said the Rebels had extended him a scholarship offer two weeks ago. He’s now weighing his options, saying that he will return to Ole Miss for an official visit in January and that he also plans to take officials to Florida, Miami and Texas.

      ---Today's decommit article:
East Mississippi Community College four-star defensive tackle Jarran Reed has withdraw his commitment from North Carolina, Reed said via text Tuesday night.

Reed (6-4, 302) had appeared headed in that direction after visiting Ole Miss during the weekend with two junior college teammates pledged to the Rebels, followed by his reception of a Florida offer on Monday.

“I just wanted to weigh my options,” Reed said.

Reed carries a 92 rating from 247Sports as a four-star prospect and is ranked as the No. 18 junior college recruit in the country.

The decommitment is a hit to a UNC class in need of an interior defensive linemen who could immediately come in and contribute to the two-deep.

Reed, a Goldsboro, N.C., native, committed to the Tar Heels almost immediately upon receiving an offer last June.

But his commitment has wavered as other schools have come into the picture the last month.

Reed said he does not have a specific leader right now. Asked if he planned to still consider the Tar Heels, Reed said, “They are up there.”

    • A surprise visitor was 2014 South Carolina defensive tackle Kwamelle Barnes, a 6-foot-4 and 280-pound junior prospect who is already being recruited by schools all along the East Coast. Barnes made the trip with his father.

      Barnes to visit USC(e), Clemson
      By Eric Guimaraes

Junior DL Kwamelle Barnes of Saluda has taken visits to USC(e) and Clemson this season and plans to return over the next two weekends. His most recent trip was to LSU.

"I went to Baton Rouge for the Mississippi State game," Barnes said. "Oh man, they know how to get the crowd loud during crucial moments of the game. It was really nice there. I liked everything. The atmosphere, the campus...everything."

Though he said he does not have favorites, he named the schools he likes the most as LSU first, Clemson and North Carolina second and then USC(e).

His first trip to Carolina came earlier this season. "I went to Williams-Brice for my first game when they played Missouri," Barnes said. "It was amazing. They have a great environment." He returns to Columbia this weekend and to Clemson the next. He expects his teammate, DL Dexter Widemen, to join him in Clemson. Barnes has yet to receive his first offer

---Dexter Wideman, the teammate who also plays DE, is a 2014 4 star DT that LSU has been recruiting too.
