SP: LHP Cody Boutte (8-3) ERA - 5.48
Boutte threw earlier today. These our is unimpressive stats: 1.2 IP, 5 H, 3 ER in facing only nine batters. He did only throw 29 pitches, but I cant imagine him lasting more than three or four innings.
This is Drew Rowell btw.

TOP 1ST INNING
Alex Bregman draws a walk with two down, and Katz shoots a double down the line to put two runners in scoring position for Raph Rhymes. Rhymes flies out to left to end the threat.
LSU 0, ULL 0
BOTTOM 1ST INNING
Brent Bonvillain gets the Cajuns to go three up three down.
TOP 2ND INNING
Christian Ibarra leads off with a walk, and he is stranded at first.
BOTTOM 2ND INNING
Bonvillain gives up a leadoff single up the middle, but strikes out to while sitting the next three batters down.
TOP 3RD INNING
JaCoby Jones draws a walk with one out, and Bregman singles to center. Both runners are stuck on base as Katz and Rhymes both can't hit them in.

BOTTOM 3RD INNING
Bonvillain gets a 1-2-3 inning.
TOP 4TH INNING
Alex Edward almost hits one out, but the ball hits off of a leaping leftfielder's glove, and Edward ends up at second. Andrew Stevenson gets hit by a pitch to put runners at first and second for Laird, who goes down swinging.
BOTTOM 4TH INNING
The Cajuns get a two out single, but Bonvillain fools the next batter and rings him up.
TOP 5TH INNING
Jones and Bregman both fly out to the warning track. Katz draws a walk with two outs and moves to second on a wild pitch. Raph hits probably the weakest pop up I've seen, and the pitcher drops the ball. Rhymes gets a base hit to put runners on the corners. Ibarra goes down 0-2 but ends up drawing a walk to load the bases.
Ty Ross draws a walk, and Katz strolls on home. Edward grounds out to short on a bang bang play.
LSU 1, ULL 0
Edward was safe. That was a make-up call by the first base umpire. LSU got away with one on first earlier in the game to end an inning.
BOTTOM 5TH INNING
Bonvillain walks the leadoff batter but allows nothing else.
LSU 1, ULL0

TOP 6TH INNING
Mark Laird and Jones get back-to-back singles to left with one out. Bregman hits an RBI single up the middle, and he moves to second on the throw to third. Raph lines one over the second baseman to bring in two more ones.
LSU 4, ULL 0
BOTTOM 6TH INNING
An error by Bregman gets the leadoff runner on, and a double to left-center knock him in. After the runner on second steals third, Stevenson makes a great diving catch to keep the runner on third.
Nick Rumbelow come in for Bonvillain (6.1 IP, 3 H, 1 BB, 3 K). Rumbelow strikes out the only two batters he faces to end the inning.
LSU 4, ULL 1

TOP 7TH INNING
Ross, Edward, and Stevenson are retired in order.
BOTTOM 7TH INNING
Rumbelow strikes out one in a three up three down inning.
TOP 8TH INNING
With two out Bregman hits a solo shot into the leftfield bleachers. Katz draws a walk and is then caught snoozing at first on a pickoff.
LSU 5, ULL 1
BOTTOM 8TH INNING
Rumbelow is dominating the Cajuns right now. He gets a 1-2-3 inning and has now retired 8 straight.
TOP 9TH INNING
Rhymes legs out an infield single to leadoff the ninth; he steals second and moves to third on a throwing error by the catcher. LSU can't get him across the plate.
Chris Cotton comes in sprinting doing his best John Rocker impersonation.
BOTTOM 9TH INNING
Cotton strikes out one and gets the other batters to ground out.
LSU 5, ULL 1
LSU will play Oklahoma on Friday in Baton Rouge for the Super Regionals
