I like the emergence of Carter. Sounds like a real threat thanks to a late growth spurt. I think he definitely finds a way to make it in this class, even if Fehoko does come in and Gardner qualifies that's only 25 current commits. Throw in Bain that's 26. After that it's a crapshoot who we get. RSJ will be eliminated tomorrow, that leaves Goodman, Willis, Burns, Beckwith and Foster...I highly doubt we get 3 of those 5, which leaves room for Cethan Carter since we can go to 29.
92-23 (80.0%) overall, 54-7 (88.5%) at home, 51-21 (70.8%) vs. SEC, 40-2 (95.2%) OOC, 5-3 in bowl games, 2 SEC, 1 National Title(s) = tHAT
Carter looked great last night!
What other schools have also shown some interest? Would hate for things to not work out with LSU and then he be left totally out of the mix.
Just don't see the excitement about another TE. We have three on the roster already, and two coming in. Even if Jacobs doesn't come back, we still have four on the roster, and for what? We never use the TE, and that's a mistake in our O philosophy, but that's the way it is. And to use a scholly for depth because we might need it in the red zone doesn't make sense to me. Coach a tackle to go out there if you need the blocking; that's their stock in trade. This excitement about a guy like Carter, and I'm sure he's a solid player, doesn't register with me.
