So what's the advice? What to expect?
Went twice with the wife and said would never go back. Obnoxious fans are at every school but been to every SEC venue except for Missouri and Florida was by far the worst.
i was there in 2008 to see Gators with Tim Tebow against South Carolina. Live up north and it was my first SEC experience. It was a great atmosphere.
It will be my first trip to the dump also. Live here in Florida and told to not decorate my car unless I want to file an insurance claim. Damn I hope we win!!!
Stop by the Risque Cafe on your way back. Best short-order diner/strip club I've ever been to.
Expect some occasional obnoxious fans who are not there for friendly banter. They would rather demean you instead.
They are different fans when the traveling UF fans come to TS than the ones you are going to run into out there.
Keep your flags on the car inside.
Hope you get to sit with some friendly fans.
Gravitiger is correct about the place to visit.

You won't see a cleaner campus and the stadium will be plenty loud. Expect to see a lot of sports bras which only helps your experience. Loved it when I went
I live here in Florida, work for the Sheriff's Office and was told several times to keep flags off, no car magnets and keep a low profile. Our county is known for not taking crap from anyone but Gainesville PD is worse than us. All I gotta say is when we in I'm talkin mad shit to all these crocs.
No disrespect intended, but as a Florida fan, that pretty much describes my families experience for the 03, 05, and 07 games in Baton Rouge. It seemed like everywhere I went drunk slobs wanted to pick a fight with me. The thing that really got on my nerves is the lack of respect for someones physical space. It is one thing to talk trash, kind of expect that, but I was surprised how many tiga bait chomps actually grazed my face. Baton Rouge is the only place I have been too where I could mind my own business, and still have concern for my families safety. Nothing personal, I love and respect the SEC tradition, and all that LSU brings to the table, but my Samsung 240hrz 3d TV is as close as I will ever get to Baton Rouge again.
As to the fan wondering what to expect, Gator fans are middle of the road. Some of us can be over the top, but I think we have more animosity towards Big Ten schools that talk trash about our conference than anything. If you don't go looking for trouble, you should be ok and have a great time.
