I agree.. Im sure the coaches have several RB's on their radar in next years class.. I think they want LF to be a leader in the class along with other top 2014 in-state kids.. LF, Noil, Quinn, etc.. Get the La elite's committed early building that nucleas and then work their way out as far as they need to so they will be able to close out a strong class.. Im sure as they do that they will have other top RB's with offers.. I think we will see them work hard to reload with several elite running backs next year.. These next two years in recruiting will be huge.. Can Les and co stay at a high level and contend for nat championsips??
I disagree that Michael was a miss. The guy cannot stay healthy in a less physical offense and is now barely used. He would not be a starter at LSU and most likely have less playing time than Ware and possibly Ford.

I have seen Taylor play and I am extremely impressed. he is a baller!!!!!
My problem with riding one back for recruiting is injury. just look at USCe and losing Lattimore. These RB's are always one carry away from devastating injuries. (Blue...thank goodness we had other studs). So what happens if LF goes down? Depth at RB is important especially to our 1970's offensive style.
Michael's best season was 2011 899 6.0 8. I know he got hurt but that is not significantly better than LSU's RB's. We can't take everyone and Michael while good was not an elite level player. LSU's running game was not hurt by not having him.
As for Taylor, I like him, I do think we should take a RB in every class but I don't believe they are passing on Taylor to entice Fournette. I suspect that's a message board meme that now people who like to complain about something are now treating as fact. I assume they just didn't like Taylor enough to fit him into this class. It's a shame since he seemed to want to come here and too bad if he's taking it personally, but we did have bigger needs.
Lsu is in line for plenty of backs besides LF next year so even if we dont get him ( which I beleove strongly we will ) there are other options. The staff has a number of backs they will take next year with or without fournette so it may be a gamble but its quiet minimal in my eyes. I totally agree with how they played it

TAMU's offense under Sherman only played two half-backs with Cyrus Gray as the starter. Defenses played to stop Tannehill moreso than their running game. Now Michael has been passed up by Ben Malena. How does he play at LSU if he can't stay healthy and is not better than Malena? What can he offer this offense that our other backs cannot offer?
He was rated extremely high coming into the season but as of right now, there must be question marks. There was a point where he was given pretty much no playing time because of his attitude. There were Aggie fans who were saying that Sumlin has been very displeased with him some time during the season.
He has also played a full year more than Ford and Ware. Imagine if one of them had been the feature back for three seasons against Big 12 defenses.
Of course he would play but he would not add any value that we don't already have.
