With the beginning of college basketball season this week, I found something annoying on Saturday: With the complete dissapearance of defense in football around most of the country, when scores scrolled across the bottom of the TV Saturday, I had to look to the far left often to see if a final score was from a football or a basketball game.
It's amazing how similar the scores of football and basketball games have become.
I thought maybe I was the only one having to affirm that some scores were basketball and not football and vice verse.
I was going to blame it on the PAC 10, C-USA, ACC and La. Tech in that order in football lack of D, but look at what Tennessee and Mizzou did Saturday.. Geez....
Regards to All,
Yeah, I guess Sal Sunseri isn't at the top of the candidate list to replace Dooley in Knoxville.
Nope, I had the saaaaaame problem. LOL
"It's my hometown, and that's big for me," Henry said. "It's about playing for the home team in front of family
Yeah, I noticed that as well. That lack of defense spreads all the way into the NFL too. Notice how in recent years NFL offenses have seem to become more pass than run oriented with QB's like Brees, Brady, & Peyton running their respective offenses, but also it's become a more high scoring league where for the most part defense has taken a back seat.
The SEC doesnt have that problem...except games involving Tennessee!
