We will be staying in Covington for the game and are looking for a good local place to eat serving Louisiana or Southern cuisine. Any and all help is appreciated and ill be happy to return the favor next year when you guys head our way.
Not from that area, but ACME Oyster House in Covington is good. Hopefully you'll get some other suggestions from those a little more familiar with the other places in the area.
There is a Chimes in Covington that just opened about a year ago. If you are looking for LA food, that should be your choice. Great food, awesome atmosphere, and a pretty large beer selection. Get the boudin balls and/or the blackened alligator as appetizers.
See the link below.
ACME Oyster House in Covington is good but I recommend Chime's which is right down the road. The food is good and the atmosphere is South Louisiana at its finest with it being located on a creek and off in a wooded area.
Will be more than happy to give you some more options and you can shoot me an email and I will send you my cell if that would be easier since I live in that area.

Yea, I live in Mandeville... I'd recommend the Chimes as well.
If you can get a seat at the bar, the Brew Pub in abita can be fun.
The tap room is pretty cool as well.
Rips on the Lake in Mandeville is the best fried seafood I've ever had.
Thanks everyone. I'm pumped. Heading to one of my favorite places to see a game. I'll continue checking if anyone has anything else.
Hope you enjoy everything except for the outcome of the game
