I posted on a thread early in the year who i thought would blow up this year. BOY was I wrong. Not throwing kid under the bus, but he didnt do anything. James Wright. Who did yall pick as the guy in 12 that was going to break out?

I said I expected Faulk to break someone's leg on a block. I didn't want/expect it to be his own. Damnit!
I expected Minter to go from solid to beast and he did but that really wasn't going out on a limb.

I had minter too on defense. My breakout player on offense was wright.
My offensive guy was Jarvis Landry and he sort of did. The stats aren't eye-popping but he definitely made his presence known to other coaches.
Same here. The second half of the season he was as good as I expected. If he keeps up that pace, much less improves, he will have a very nice season next year.

I had Jarvis like you guys. I also thought Lamin Barrow would really step up, and I think he did

I thought Shep would finally break out...my other thought was that Chase Clement would have a good year with Mett as QB. Obviously, I was way off on both counts.
I had Nic Jacobs making an impact in our passing game. Swing and a miss.....
I thought it would be Hilliard. Oops.
I wasn't big on Landry being a #1 WR and still am not. IMHO, if he's our #1 receiving target, our passing game will continue to be limited. He's a great #2 option, but just doesn't threaten defenses down the field. Still, he clearly was our best WR this year.

Agree on both points... sadly, he may have to be on #1 WR next year unless we get a surprise or 2... but I think he could definitely benefit from playing in the slot as a #2 or #3 WR.
A WR core of Randle as #1, Beckham as #2, and Landry as #3 would have been fantastic this year. It was a shame we didnt get to see it!

If OBJ rediscovers the hands he displayed as a true freshman, he's the best option because of his speed and elusiveness. If he can be consistent, it will really open up possibilities for the offense.
Not sure who I chose, but obviously those who chose Landry, Barrow, or Minter hit a HR. I thought all three made huge contributions. I am very imprssed with Barrow.
I was on that train too. He did get suspended though so that didnt help his cause. I love him as a big body in the passing game. Oh well, I was wrong.
