Auburn student assistant coach Joe Bagwell suddenly passed away before the game so this may have had something to do with how Auburn played.
Thoughts and prayers go out to the family and loved ones.
Bagwell, 23, passed away suddenly on Saturday.
This really puts things into perspective. Our thoughts and prayers go out to this young man's friends and family. I watched a GAME last night but they are dealing with REALITY this morning. I feel very blessed and fortunate this morning to not have that challenge facing me today.

Oklahoma State defense blanked Savanah State 84-0 as a tribute to their hospitalized defensive coordinator. The following week, they lost to Arizona 59-38 and then gave up 24 points to ULL the week after that. I know Savanah State is a punching bag but to completely shut out a team is impressive none-the-less, especially for a team that tends to give up a lot of points. Sometimes emotions do play an important factor in a game. The passing of the student assistant + the locker room material + rivalry game very likely contributed to the Auburn's emotional play on the field.
I give my condolences to the Bagwell family.

Don't beat yourself up man. We didn't know.
When asked who our natural rivals are I reply: Everybody we hate em all!!!
So sad. Just another reason for Auburn to play inspired football last night. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
Thoughts and prayers are extended to his family, and the sincerest of condolences sent their way.
Football is truly a game, and nothing more. A game that incites fans, and riles emotion, but nonetheless, nothing more than a game, entertainment.
Life is a game played everyday, and the way you play the game of life has an eternal impact. I hope we all take this time to reflect on how short this game can be and to reassess our place in the game, and the way we are playing it....

That was extremely well said and certainly captures the thoughts and feelings of our Tiger Family the best.
