Bad call. Ross had him at second. The tag on the back was before the kid reached second base.
I thought so too until the 3rd replay. Either way, our hitting has been atrocious.
TOP 7TH INNING
Nola hits the first batter and the runner steals both second and third with two outs. Nola gets the batter to ground out to second and gets out of the jam.
UCLA 1, LSU 1
Holy poop I'm tired of these fly balls.
BOTTOM 7TH INNING
Ibarra and Ross get out on back-to-back pitches to start the seventh. Jones draws a walk, but Andrew Stevenson strikes out and leave Jones stranded.
how to beat yourself in one easy lesson
Bregman killing us at the plate and in the field.
I know he is only a freshman, but when you are one of our best players, you have to make that play. Unless LSU can stop popping out that probably just cost us the game.
"That was Death Valley,". "That was the place where opponents' dreams come to die. Coach Les Miles after the LSU - South Carolina game.
TOP 8TH INNING
UCLA gets the leadoff batter on again and moves him over with a sac bunt. With two outs on a hard hit ground ball Bregman boots it into the outfield and the runner is able to score.
UCLA 2, LSU 1
may be a short visit to CWS if we don't start hitting. clearly didn't come to play tonite....reading too many of our own press clippings.

Dimensions of Alex Box are 365' in left and right and 405 to center field. Ameritrade is 375 on the power alleys and 408 to center. Close dimensions but thinner air makes it more of a hitters ball park in Omaha. We need to give the ball a ride here. I don't think there is a wind tonight.
LSU is absolutely taking gas here. PLutko's pitchs have no movement and he can't break 90. This is a first class choke job. The young guys are not ready for prime time and the vets are swinging lazy bats. UCLA is putting pressure every inning and LSU is getting two out hits. They are blowing a very good set-up.
LSU has nas no energy, and no Momentum. Unless Mason, and Rhymes spark something in our last at bat, we are done.
BOTTOM 8TH INNING
The top of the lineup is retired in order.

Slump sucks, but the block feet he showed in the 8th hurt! Definitely a freshman mistake.
Man you nailed it. This is the most pathetic performance against the equivalent of a SEC Sunday pitcher in recent memory. Plutko throws a 88 fastball and a straight 81 change. Just a pathetic performance by this batting order, lead by Bregman who is killing us.

lead runner on again! turn out the lights, the partys over.......
That strikeout and still reach is LSU's night in a nutshell.
Just to make sure I understand, we can afford Ross's pathetic bat because of his defense?
Every since Bregman and Rhymes collided in left field against Jackson St., Bregs really hasn't been the same since.
The sacrifices are not hurting us but the errors are.
Add Andrew Stevenson to that equation.
