What is the deal with this injury/progress?
What was his injury?
He's not going to play in the bowl and it was an ACL tear. Shea can weigh in on how he is progressing because I believe Miles commented on that yesterday saying that "Blue was farther our than Kwon Alexander and Josh Williford" in terms of being able to play in the bowl game.
The latest I've gotten from a good source is he will do some light action during the spring as a precaution and be good to go for summer.
Sonny is right. Blue is a no-go for the bowl game. He dressed out the final couple games, but that was a courtesy from Miles.
"I guess you've just gotta find something you love to do and then... do it for the rest of your life." - Max Fisher
Thanks for confirming that
Any chance of Red Shirt?? Although i don't think it will matter, because I could see him playing one more yr and then trying the NFL... RB's have a short life span so he better get it while he can..
He was my favorite RB on the team before he got injured..

They have to petition for a waiver on a medical redshirt since he played in 3 games which equals 25% and the rule is they can't play in more than 20%. He qualifies for everything else on the guidelines for a medical redshirt.
What are the odds of getting that waver?
I think no matter if he gets it or not, he wouldn't be in Baton Rouge beyond next year. And that's assuming he returns for his final year of ball next fall. I think Chris Faulk is a safe bet to stay, but of the injured bunch, I look hardest at Blue and how he's weighing his future.
Sonny, it's 30%. If he only played in 3 games, he meets that requirement.
