Looking less for wishful thinking and more for input from insiders like Sonny, Shea and others with actual knowledge of the players on who some of the rising stars might be for 2013?
I am talking about kids already on the roster that didn't play much in 2012. Who has demonstrated SEC level talent in practice and is ready to contribute in 2013?

Travin Dural is at the top of the list along with Corey Thompson, Jerald Hawkins, and Danielle Hunter from the 2012 class.
I also think LSU has to have a young DT and DE step up and Quenton Thomas is one Brick Haley is going to ride this off season.
Can't leave off Jamie Kheen either.
Those are 6 right there.
I hope to see maclin step up big time. At tight end, more Dickson would be cool. I agree on Thompson stepping up at safety. Hunter also at d-end, infact I think de will be fine( what's he white dudes name from west Monroe that plays de?).
Sonny was pretty spot on with his assessment
Who will be our # 2 center next year? Anybody?
Is Hawkins going to see the field next season?
As a #2 LT sure, but he isn't going to beat out Faulk. Alexander has RT on lock-down after this year. Faulk should only be here 1 more year then go NFL.
Paul Mainieri = 328-135 ovr (70.8%), 119-89 SEC (57.2%), 21-10 NCAA (67.7%), 3 CWS App., 1 National Title
Jordan Allen is the guy you're thinking of...he'll be coming off an injury (ACL I believe)...will be interesting to see how he does next year.
I'd like to add Kwon Alexander to this. Dude looked good in his limited time before being hurt at OLB. We need one of the freshmen LBs to step up next year as sophomores. I wanted to see more out of Louis since he was an E.E. but I saw why the coaches originally went with Kwon Alexander over him.
Yea, I didn't add Kwon because I thought he did enough to where he showed how good he can be but thanks for adding.
And I agree that Jordan Allen could really bolster the DE depth and it's his time now with him going into his junior year. This is the year where he should make his move.
