One of the best tape's I've seen of pure athleticism. Wow. He looks great.

Love how they end the highlight with him getting T'd up. Impressive. Can't wait to see this class on the court.
Good stuff SoS. Who would you compare him to from past and current Tigers?
Give Al Green an extra 5 inches and you have Jordan Mickey. Old school fans know just how high a compliment that is.
"I strive to never let the perfect be the enemy of the good. They are companions, not rivals, for our affections." -Lance Paddock
Dude is explosive, and can get to the basket
He reminds me of Tyrus Thomas. Tyrus came to school at 6'8" and maybe grew another inch or two but was really just a ball of energy who was super athletic. I think Mickey looks more refined at this point of his career. Thomas didn't come to LSU with a ton of high accolades because he was so raw, but Mickey reminds me of T-Time.
Noone on the roster currently has close to the athleticism of Mickey.
Quarterman comes in with a ton of athletic ability, but probably not quite as much as Mickey.
All i can say is he has the inside hops and game that would perfectly compliment O'Bryant and give LSU what Shavon Coleman tries and can't do underneath. Coleman is a nice player with some skill but a 6'5"or less type of post game isn't going to cut it against the real big boys down there as we have found.
Hickey would have a field day feeding this guy alley oop dunks and transition game slams. I think Mickey makes a big impact out of the box if he can play defense some (beside blocking shots).
Quarterman is athletic as well. It is a very nice variable set of skills coming in next year. From every single player committed.
Regards to All,
We need to get SR. highlights of Jarrell Martin too. He's the best player in our class (going off of rankings).. I wonder if Martin will play the 3 or the 4 at LSU. Fantastic class.. Odo, Quarterman... The future is bright fellas.
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
Didn't want to start another thread for just a single dunk, but I found this clip of Quarterman dunking over a teammate just for fun after school...
He is the second person to go.
Tim Quarterman dunks over a teammate after school.
Martin is a 4 with a 3's athleticism. He will play in the McDonald's All-American game on April 3rd. He is an athletic guy who can really get up and down the floor and finish at the rim. Plus he is so raw. Really like the overall athleticism and size in this class.
"They're on our left, they're on our right, they're in front of us, they're behind us....They can't get away this time." Chesty Puller
I wonder how much room for growth he has.. He's 6'7 and that's the size of most great 3's in the NBA like Kobe, Joe Johnson, Rudy Gay, etc..
Decided to put some Martin highlights in thios thread too... Why not.
In the back 2 Basics video it also has prospect Craig Victor.

Mickey and Martin are clearly the real deal. And everyone says the same about Quarterman.
With Odo also coming in, this class will go down as the turning point for sure. Jones evidently has them moving in the right direction on the court and on the recruiting trail

Here is the Darcy Malone footage everyone has already seen, but this will have all the video in the same place.

Man the fans better show up.. When the Pmac is rocking, it's one of the best venues in CBB
I'll compare him to Stromile Swift if he grows another in or 2. Both very athletic but out of high school need work on their perimeter game.
Great stuff SoS
Martin is the real deal imo. Right now Im going to say if JOB goes pro then Martin will lead the team in scoring next year.
Right now, I'm going to say if JOB doesn't go pro we will be a deep tournament team.
I've been very pleasantly surprised by the coaching job Jones has done with the current roster and its limitations. I don't want to get my hopes up too high, but you really have to be excited about the future of the program if he can continue recruiting at an elite level.
