Who are the two teams in CF that consistently play below their potential? Until the last year (starting in Jan. 2012), I would not put LSU in the same category as USC with their plethora of five-star players. Our D definitely does not be considered with USCw. However, the O is right there with USCw and the coaching/playcalling is at least as bad, perhaps worse than USCw. The epitomy of how bad our playcalling is happened late in the game when we gained 8 yards on 1st down, and then threw two incompletions on 2nd and 3rd down. Admittedly, the failure on 2nd down was on Mett's shoulders because he missed a wide open Landry that would have given us a 1st down. At the very least, had we run the ball and made Clemson use their TO's, they wouldn't have gotten into position for a winning field goal. Pass plays were the wrong call on both those plays.
It should not have come down to Mett missing that pass. Hill was running wild so we decide to pass.
