Thanks GW. Looks like they starting to work on the new rankings.
Looks like they went "all out" and gave him two points ...

yeah! Woo Hoo!! Two whole pernts!
Remember though, they listened to us two years ago was it? They gave Jarvis Landry that much coveted 5th star and to date he hasn't earned it. Wether QB play or whatever he has not earned that billing and I do not mean that as a knock on the young man. Who knows he may earn it this year.
I am not sure if his issues have been height or lack of elite speed but we seem to have two slot receivers starting in OBJ and JL. We need a Flanker. I forget if that is an X or a Y receiver but we need one. Wright, Boone and several others could have been that Flanker but we just seem to be missing it.
He played well this year. I think he made some 5 star plays.
I think he played as well as he could given the circumstances
Hey D14, we need to make a weekend at Russels old camp this spring. I hear Danny G. has been claiming it lately.
I think the second half of the season he was everything I expected.

IMHO, he's just too limited by speed to be considered a five star player. He does make some unbelievable catches, but he also dropped his share this year. He's a legit four star guy because he's reliable and is a great blocker, but I don't see how any WR can be a five star unless they are 6'3"+ or has speed to burn.
He looked pretty good to me this year lol!

I'm with you! I'll bring the Crown and Coke.
Most people would kill for that sort of thing. We are very lucky to have several hundred acres of prime Atchafalaya Basin land that has been in our family for Centuries. Hardest thing is carrying the generator but I got a good one right now. Cousin Kerry even put in a well and a shower.

Amari, he is not.
I think it was more of a product of Landry going nuts at his all-star game. He won MVP. His stats aren't all that impressive but he made many big plays this past season. He'd look much better if the QB and o-line play was more consistent.

You don't have to be a 6'3" burner to be a 5*. You just have to contribute and produce like a 5* reciever would. While he hasn't been consistent, he definitely has had some 5* moments/catches and still has plenty of time to prove his worth.

The rating increase by Neal is well-deserved; he has earned it. And I am a big fan of JL; anyone who didn't see the catches he made this year weren't looking. He is easily a five-star. Why do LSU fans have to condemn and devour their own?
I recommended an "87" because that's where I truly felt he should be after seeing his body style in person and watching the film. I know several others felt the same too so there was a general consensus. I hope he proves that the rating was too low but I have no problems with it at all:)
I agree with this ranking. Their is no doubting he is very good, but at the same time their is no doubting the fact that his height may make him ineffective at the next level against 6'5 OTs with good feet.
I think JL is as good as his QB can be. He didn't drop as many as Beckham early in the year and Mettenberger is as inconsistent as his OL pass blocking is.
LSU needs at least 3-4 things to determine if Landry is as good as his rankings in HS:
1) An OL that can protect the near completely immobile individual that is starting at QB.
2) Improvement in Mettenberger's overall recognition of open receivers, timing of release and accuracy downfield, pocket presence.
3) A tall capable wide receiver that can stretch the field deep and force defenders to sacrifice covering either Beckham or Landry with 2 men like they do routinely.
4) An offense that doesn't telegraph by personnel on field every play in their playbook.
