Kwon Alexander may have let the cat out the bag!
He is the best MLB in the country! 1st rd pick and long time NFL player.
I don't think he'll run quite well enough to get into the first round, but I agree he'll be a long term pro.
Big loss for our defense, but I will definitely be pulling for him in the NFL... he was a great Tiger on and off the field!

Was told Kevin Minter/LB/LSU & Tharold Simon/CB/LSU likely to enter the draft...Minter has chosen his agent if he leaves...
So has the mass exodus began ... can't believe Simon would go pro
I think we might get a few suprises.Les has done a good job of keeping some of these guys.Sam Montgomery(last year),Glenn Dorsey,Brandon Lafell,Ciron Black(probably wrong move)Charles Scott had second round grade after junior year.
I hope so... it would be real scary if our Defense loses Sam, Mingo, Reid, Minter, Simon, and Logan
Simon leaving seems like a big mistake to me, but Minter played at a very high level.
Don't care if Simon leaves. He was far from a good corner this year. Could not cover and rarely shed blocks to tackle.
Reid and Minter are far bigger losses.
I just hope Loston stays and wouldn't mind if Logan stuck around as well.
I think fans will be surprised at what the defense will do next year. We will be young but we have some crazy good talent and I expect them to perform.
Good for Minter. Kid was a beast and his stock can't be much higher. Best of luck to him
yeah....we will be fine.....every year we lose great talent, but the next guy just steps in & does his thing......we will be OK...good luck to all the guys who do decide to go pro.

There will certainly be opportunities to excel next season. That usually makes for great competition and a very hungry team. I just hope we have a few upper classmen leaders step up on each side like Chris Faulk, Freak Johnson and Rasco. There are still plenty of playmakers waiting in the wings. Dont sleep on the Tigers!
I know Simon played bad this year, but he will still be better than anybody we have at CB next year, outside of Mills... it would definitely be a big plus to have him back next year, and hope he can improve from this year
I agree that Reid & Minter are bigger losses, but I still think losing Simon will hurt a lot. We will have nothing but Sophomores and Freshman at CB next year if he leaves...
I can't see Loston leaving, but I also didnt think Simon would leave either... Logan's return is huge for us next year IMO. The LSU Defense needs depth along the DL, and we are already real thin at DE. It doesnt sound like Mickey J will make a serious contribution, so we really need Thomas or one of the freshman to really step it up (and we desperately need Freak to be a 1 man wrecking crew, and it wouldnt hurt if Ego lived up to his potential either)
I hope you are right about our defense next year... I dont think we will be terrible or anything, but I just cant see how we will replicate the domination of past LSU defenses after all these personnel losses at key postions (DT, DE, MLB, #2 CB, and FS are all sort of question marks). I still think the defense will be good, just not great. We may have to rely on the offense a little more than usual

We definitely missed that leadership this year... it was evident in most of the games we played
