This kid is going to be one of the top 5 players in the country for the 2014 class IMHO. Last night I went to watch Norcross play basketball and this kid is built like a Greek god. He's quick and explosive. Omg, the guy is explosive. He had 45 tfl and 17 sacks this season for Norcross and contributed to them winning the state championship. He is 6' 6" and looks to be about 230 lbs. LSU needs to at least offer this guy.

Btw, I've talked to some people who think that he's better than Nkemdiche and I agree.
Who is he looking at?
Upside I can see but no way he's better than Nkemdiche currently. That's just people hating or pumping up this kid. Like him or not, Nkemdiche is 6'5 270 of athletic, polished defensive monster. He can realistically go into about 100-110 of the D1 programs right now and start. He's not an upside kid but where he's at right now is better than most kids ever get and likely better than this kid ever gets. That is what makes Robert special.
Where you live at BayouProfit?
You haven't seen this kid...I have. Lorenzo Carter is very fluid and more explosive than Nkemdiche. Believe me, I don't want to slight Robert, my son is friends with his brother Denzell, but Carter is an athletic freak. Think of it this way, imagine former UNLV basketball player Larry Johnson's body on a 16-17 year old kid with the explosion of a LeBron James...and I'm not kidding! Moreover, I've seen Nkemdiche and there's no question in my mind that he'll play DT in college. He'll probably start at DE his freshman year, but he'll be kicked inside the following years and be more of an Ndamukong Suh type of player - which isn't a bad thing.
Thank God Football is King in the South!
A kid with Carter's size, that is this athletically gifted. wouldn't even be playing Football in just about any other region. LaBron is a great example. Don't you think he'd have played some College Football if he grew up in The South?
Have any of you Georgia guys seen Andrew Williams play? If yes, how good is he?
I love the 2014 DE class. LSU has offered a bunch of them already.
Your assessment of Carter, and his ranking seem to make an offer something that needs to come.
You would think LSU's rep for developing DL would be enough for him to GTAFC (Give The Tigers a Fighting Chance)! http://247sports.com/PlayerInstitution/Lorenzo-Carter-at-Norcross-36514/Videos/760621
I hope he's not one of the guys I was alluding to that pretty much let college coaching staffs know they just don't want to leave the area. Even if he is, that's no reason to not recruit him. Things change (kids mature, h.s. coaches change, college coaches make an impression, etc.) so you have to build some kind of relationship with most of the better kids.
Good stuff and we will lean on you in the coming months on some Georgia kids if you don't mind:)
No problem :)

Here's another kid from Norcross who's impressive:
His brother plays DE for Cincinnati.

Reminds me of Mingo, but Carter is thicker at this stage. Absolute stud
Went and watch him play basketball last Tuesday
Saw him play live 2 times this year
He was a no brainer 5-Star for me in Georgia
Thanks for the input Rusty. What's your thoughts on strenghts/areas for improvement?
Rusty, what do you think about Kevin Mouhon? I see that he's rated as a 4* prospect at linebacker.
Glad to see Coach Miles made the call recently to Lorenzo Carter. This kid is a beast!
