Over 250 lines were released here in Vegas yesterday. Below are a few interesting lines I saw. For those that aren't 100% sure on how lines work, if a team is plus (+), they're the underdog by that may points. If they're minus (-), they're the favorite by that many. Visitor is top team, home team is bottom.
Alabama -11 1/2
Texas A&M @
Notre Dame @
Texas A&M +6
Clemson +3 1/2
Ohio St @
Yeah...Bama is a 24 point road favorite over Auburn.

Did you catch LSU-UF, LSU-Auburn, or LSU-Kent State? I'd love to know the lines on those.

Lot of betting against LSU according to Vegas guys at the nugget yesterday
Interesting. I'll wait to see if we become bigger dogs in some of the games. I'll take more points. I already like several of the lines.
Read an article by Dr. Saturday saying Bama is a 17 point favorite over everyone on its schedule except LSU (11.5) and TAM (6). Tells you something about their schedule!
They were pounding TCU +4 vs LSU. I will put ,y kitchen sink on that game at 4.
I come in peace.
I think 11.5 points is too much for the lsu-bama game, especially since bama plays better on the road than at home.
I think lsu might beat uga outright by that point in the season. Your defense is going to be nasty, it just needs a bit of time to gel.
Yea i think the LSU defense if really underrated i dont believe there will be a drop off. On the offensive side i think this will be the best offense LSU has ever had so i dont know what some of these people are thinking?
This is my guess:
On defense, you guys lost a ton of people. Fans who do not follow recruiting carefully will just see how many players left. This is the same mistake that they make when they see players leave bama. The depth that lsu has, especially on defense, is really strong. There are so many examples of defensive stars who are sophomores that emerge a few games into the season.
On offense, I think people want to see proof that the new OC will improve play calling and overall results. My personal view is that the offense will be better than 2012 for you guys, but the full benefits of the new system will take more time to reap.
Finally, your schedule in 2013 is downright tough. So I think people just see a very difficult season for lsu with limited room for error. In my view, even if the season ends up being a 1-3 loss season, there are very few individual games where you guys should be seen as more than a 4-6 point dog, no matter where it is played. That could change as the season progresses, but that is how I see it now.
I really hope you guys win the next two NC's. my guess is that the TV ratings would drop out of frustration from people like me who are tired of Bama. I call it Gump Fatigue. The only way to stop or even slow the Gump P.R. Machine and love fest is for the advertising dollars to decrease.
Just an editorial note on my part.
I don't see the schedule as a problem for us. We have Florida and go to Georgia. You guys have unranked Tennessee and you have to travel to Lexington to play Kentucky so that is a wash, right? Lexington is a real tough place to play. A lot tougher that playing in "The Swamp".
Permanent cross conference games can be real tough when you are Bama. You guys get no favoritism at all. The SEC really put the screws to you guys. Not like the league is looking at revenue stream in scheduling, right?
I think a lot of people are really sleeping on LSU at this point. I think a lot of opinions will change after the TCU game. We've brought in some real playmakers, especially on the offensive side of the ball. We have range and deep threats at WR now, a bonafide OC, and a veteran QB with a more athletic, faster OL. Defense will be nasty as usual. Sure we lost Mingo and Montgomery, Logan and Downs, but IMO, the guys behind them are just as good if not better in some ways. DT will be a strongpoint. Rasco is extremely athletic and Allen and/or Hunter will show their abilities, which I think are really going to impress some people. DB's will have some SEC experience under their belts and LB is also an experienced, athletic group. I love that we're the underdogs and hope we absolutely destroy some teams this upcoming season.
d14, don't let em come to our house.....gumpastanians need to steer clear of everyone. and the sec needs to get of lil nicky's teet....yea i said it! they are all sucklings! F*@K bama
I don't have a view on the factors that are going into the scheduling. I think most bama fans recognize that the 2013 schedule has a lot of easy games on it.
But there is no doubt in my mind that lsu has the toughest schedule in the SEC in 2013, and it is not even close.
