  • Sonny, at a listed 5-10 I gather he's not a SEC QB prospect despite the gaudy passing numbers, but is Kenon Fontenot a MLB/SEC baseball prospect?

  • I hear he is an SEC prospect but I don't hear much about MLB.

    Sonny Shipp Geaux247/247 Sports lascouting@yahoo.com 225-936-0538

  • Kennon is a big time baseball prospect and will have a chance to play in the SEC!

  • Wait, Fournette only averaged 14 carries a game? Why dont they give him the ball a lot more than that? I see they lost 3 games this year. Seems like you would want your best player touching the ball about 25 times a game or so at least.

Also, doesn't St. aug have a gigantic OL?

  • They throw the ball and run more spread than they ran in the past so that's a big reason for it. St. Aug does have a big OL that has some pretty good 2014 OL prospects.

  • Sonny,
Is this list limited to certain size schools? I didn't see the names of two St. Frederick High School players with the following rushing yards as reported today by the Monroe paper, the News Star:

sophmore Steele Boudreaux 1,419 yards 19 TDs
QB Seth Christian 1,005 14 TDs

"One of the key matchups promises to be the stout Oak Grove defense against the vaunted St. Frederick rushing attack.
Warriors running back Steele Boudreaux has rushed for 1,419 yards and 19 touchdowns, while quarterback Seth Christian has added 1,005 yards and 14 scores"

  • Whats the odds he signs with LSU ?? Thanks

  • It's based on the stats that newspapers send in and also if they send them in before their cutoff.

    Sonny Shipp Geaux247/247 Sports lascouting@yahoo.com 225-936-0538

  • That kind of blows my mind they run a spread offense when they ave the best RB in the state that's a big guy and have a big OL with prospects.

Pound the ball, you'll win every game.

  • Haven't heard much about him for baseball but will check with some sources at Barbe and will see what the scuttlebutt is.

  • Rushing:
Elijah McGuire, Dravon Batiste, Kendrick Ceaser and of course,Fournette, have staggering average per carry totals. Just phenomenal.
I also like the power backs. The most impressive is Brossette 30 TD's in 162 carries. Yikes.
McGuire is also amazing with a TD every 5.6 carries. Batiste isn't bad either.

Do all these top 5-7 rushers has the size/speed for D-I ball or are some limited in some way?

    Regards to All, JimH
