I'm certain we've got some graduates on here. Expecting the alma mater to go all the way this year? Semifinals go down this weekend with the state championships in New Orleans to follow.
No. 5 Kentwood at No. 1 Ouachita Christian
No. 6 West St. John at No. 2 Haynesville
No. 4 Springfield at No. 1 John Curtis
No. 3 U-High at No. 2 Evangel
No. 5 Livonia at No. 1. Parkview Baptist
No. 2 Notre Dame at No. 22 East Felciana
No. 21 McDonogh 35 at No. 1 Neville
No. 6 Holy Cross at No. 2 Karr
No. 13 Mandeville at No. 1 Rummel
No. 3 West Monroe at No. 2 Barbe
I am guessing OCS goes back to The Dome in 1A. I would like to see the Curtis vs. U-High game in 2A, though I think Curtis takes anyone down this year. Really can't wait for Karr vs. Neville, though some folks think Holy Cross might pull an upset. Seems like this is it for Don Shows, so a West Monroe win would be nice for him, though I'd personally like to see Barbe get there this year. I think Quinn would have a huge showing in the Dome.

Surprising to me what Holy Cross has done to this point, although I haven't really followed my alma mater very closely in recent years. I have kept up with the scores and it looks as though they haven't really been challenged in the playoffs. That game with Karr is going to be interesting.
Shea, any prospects on Holy Cross?
Here is the guy I have on my radar for 2014 but he isn't an LSU guy.
CB Ki-Jana Curtis Holy Cross 5-11/165 (2014)
Another 2013 prospect that may sign with an FCS school is Kevin Spears (6-2/185).
My alma mater is no longer in the playoffs, but I was excited they made it this year. HS playoffs always extremely exciting to follow - the best in all of High School, imo.
It pains me to say this but I'm pulling for Barbe. When I went to LaGrange they were always the enemy. I love love to see a team from Lake Charles when a championship. I no Washington Marion got close a few times but I can;t ever remember a Lake Charles team winning it all.
Brother inlaw is Conner Hodgeson from Parkview. That's who I will be rooting for
Rummel QB is impressive but Jr. QB at Mandeville should get some recruiting attention (good size and rifle arm).....i like that MHS is back in the semis-finals for the 2nd straight year with 11 seniors starting on defense....should be a good game....

Sonny and Shea on a side note .... yall need to make some GEAUX247 tee shirts. Like a white one with a pocket in the front with Geaux247 on it and then it again big on the back.
Id buy one and Im sure others would to.
That's a good suggestion and something we will look into.
I can see my wife now...."He (our son) is not wearing that shirt again today. It's the sixth day in a row." HaHa
Yea, Glenn Cuillette has done a good job as the triggerman for Mandeville. Can't say enough about the job that Guy Lecompte has done since he has been there.
The only thing with Cuillette is going to be his size because he looks closer to 6-0, maybe 6-1, and that will hurt him with some BCS-type schools. I see some good attention coming his way from mid-majors and the state schools.
