I believe these are his first public highlights let me know if the link works.
link works fine.....really hope we get this guy
I've said this about him after seeing the small bit of highlights 24/7 had on him, he is one of the smoothest runners that I have ever seen on film. When you have his speed and that smooth style, not many are going to catch up to him.
He definitely has 5* potential, but I don't think he will get it just because he can't really shine in that offense they run. Nothing against him, but you can't show off much when you don't get many chances
All star week can fix this problem as long as he's invited to one of them. These sites love all star practices and give them a ton of weight. He and Quinn both likely could reach 5* based on that week.
Agree with your take on him as well. Kid's some kind of smooth. Got a little Moss to his stride. I don't throw Moss around lightly either since I'm a huge fan and don't think we've seen anything like him, ever. Hopefully Malachi has a better work ethic and more desire to be great.
"You can learn more character on the two-yard line than anywhere else in life." - Former LSU Coach and AD Paul Dietzel
Moss is the first name that popped into my head the first time I saw him. I don't know if he is as fast as Moss but there are some definite similarities in their rhythm and homerun ability.
I honestly don't know how anyone could watch him play or his film and think he isn't a Top 5 player in the state. I have him #2 on my own personal list behind Fournette and I will continue to beat that drum.
"They're on our left, they're on our right, they're in front of us, they're behind us....They can't get away this time." Chesty Puller
The thing that caught me in that video is his size. I was thinking this kid was 6'1 or 6'2, but he looked fairly big compared to the competition. Sounds like he could be ideal for what we are looking for..
I love his size, and that leaping ability is off the charts. He literally dropped jaws on the LSU coaching staff when he hit a 42" vertical at camp. Not many college kids are going to do that, let alone a rising junior in high school.
Given Noil has the athleticism to play cornerback, it's a fair argument to say Dupre is LSU's biggest pure WR target on the 2014 board.
