We allowed the TWO Michigan rumors to be parlayed into raises.
Not this one!
If he is entertaining the Hawgs, let him lie with those oinkers.
We can get a good coach, and Arkansas will not pay anybody that kind of money and they should not be allowed to let their crap cost us more money.
Miles has done a good job.
But we have alot of coaches, at LSU, overpaid and we need to stop this Aleva Purchase. Fact is, we need to get rid of Aleva, yesterday.
If the Arky AD doesn't produce this year, after the John L debacle, there may be another opening that your buddy Aleva can apply for. Package deal? just kidding....
John L. Smith was a short-term arrangement that gave AD Long time for a search. Problem is - he's still searching.
I can't fault him for dismissing Petrino.
This post is directed more to the comments by TNTNT. There's some incredible benefit to having coaching stability. I think the Michigan overatures were real - not creations to line the purse.
I think the AD at Arkansas is on a short leash. The ADs at Auburn, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Kentucky are making decisions that will affect those programs for five years.
These oblique criticisms of Miles and company begin in earnest at the end of every campaign - the season just ended - so let the bitching begin.
Leverage is used to get some thing you want or need, that's not always money.
