Thinking of doing a new little feature where we take 1 prospect a day or every couple of days and post his video with a short little strengths/area for improvement assessment where everyone can kind of give their thoughts.
Also thinking of doing something where we see which NFL player he reminds you of, college player, former LSU player, and current Tiger for some comparison topics and discussion.
Any other ideas of things we could do with this going in this general direction?
I love this idea. My suggestion would be to do 2 (maybe 1 offense and 1 defense) per week, so you and Shea don't burn yourselves out and everyone on the board can have ample time to view/analyze/discuss.
That's a good suggestion. We also don't want to limit ourselves to just 2014 and go ahead and look at some 2015 guys too who have ample video.
It's a great idea, and I think you guys should make the comparison to either a current or former LSU player. Kind of hard to compare a high school kid to an NFL player. Comparing him to one our own would probably give a better idea of what to expect.
It's just this type of inovation, AND asking for member input that put S&S at the very top of their profession!!!! Great job guys!

I think making it LSU players only limits/weakens your comparisons. If you think Malachi Dupre plays like Amari Cooper, I don't think we need to limit your comparison choices to Reuben Randle or Michael Clayton.

"In the SEC,you're a glorified run support guy.In the Big 12, you're a cover guy."-Bobby Burton asking why DBs go SEC
I really LOVE both ideas. It would be nice to get some strengths/weaknesses from you guys. Also, I love the comparison discussions. Its good discussion and it helps to get an idea as to the "ceiling" for a particular player.
ETA - I agree with Booey, I wouldn't limit the comparisons to Tigers (past, present, future).

I'd like to see something on Bryce Love.

We can do out-of-state prospects too and not limit ourselves to only Louisiana guys.
"They're on our left, they're on our right, they're in front of us, they're behind us....They can't get away this time." Chesty Puller
Can we also get a "Where are they now?" with previous guys LSU has recruited?
I'd love to know how Spencer Region is preparing for his role in Bad Santa 2.
Shea definitely needs to follow up with Evan Points At Him.
Possibly get a comment or two from ex. coaches or current scouts about the player.
Sonny - Do you think 247 will implement a depth chart feature at some point?
This is a good suggestion. Thanks, Booey

What happened to the talent scout doing his evals on prospects? That was a good feature too.
Love the idea about the prospects and agree that it would be more enjoyable and accurate to be able to compare them to any college player - regardless of school. Thanks for taking our input S/S !
Id like a getting to know your "Golden Girls" weekly update .... lets make that happen !!!! ;)

Really love the idea of this feature.
Perhaps a "where does LSU stand" with the featured prospect/
Love this idea, love the fact that you garner member input. This will take recruiting to an even more palpable state.
I'd love to see a "where are they now" segment of former LSU Tiger players, maybe 1 per week.
I was surprised to meet Eddie Fuller as a medical sales rep in a Lafayette Hospital. Luke Sanders follows the same path as a medical sales rep as well, & Adam Perry is an orthopedic surgeon here also.
I'd like to find out where the LSU kids we all rooted for, ended up in life......

It was a conflict with one of the schools he was contracted with. However, he is about to retire completely and when he does we will get back to that.
Alright.....Taken everyone's input into consideration and this is what I was thinking as a go....
A short little strengths/area for improvement assessment where everyone can kind of give their thoughts.
Some comparisons and why....
Current or Former NFL Player Comparison: I like this because it gives you an idea and a chance to say if this kid keeps developing and progressing he can possibly be on this guy's level.
Current College Player Comparison: This will give us an opportunity to compare to some other guys we have studied and followed in recruiting that aren't at LSU.
Current or Former LSU Tiger Comparison: We can have a little fun with comparing to past and current Tigers.
Thoughts? Anything else you would add as elements to this piece?
Good stuff. I think I know the answer but are you going to lead off each article with a look at each recruit's personal game (i.e. their strengths and weaknesses) prior to the comparisons?
Definitely.....I want to hear what you guys think and want to hear everyone's take on their strengths/areas for improvement and then comparisons. Your take is just as important as mine:)
