I get the feeling that baby sitting this kid is going to be a major headache for Clemson over the next four years
The kid is a stud, but I don't know what to think about the way he is treating Clemson. I feel like he has pushed them into a corner trying to get them to offer all his teammates. The guy obviously has been such a stud he was given everything he wants, but he has to realize that he isn't THE guy anymore, just one of 85 on a roster trying to compete for championships and asking the team to take players that will not help the team as much as others is selfish if you ask me.
I would love to have this kid, but I am happy that we offered him and not all his requests! It's just too much for a college athlete to ask of his team.
BUT what IF.......he is doing all of this to help his pals out and eventually goes where is best for him? Maybe he realized Dabo was the only idiot coach that would agree to such package deal stuff(Les and Nick generally do not). He could then do what is best for him while clearing his mind saying he helped his boys out?
I know it's out there.......but......after last year, NOTHING will shock me anymore.

Well, the thing is, Clemson is obviously letting him "THE" guy until he signs in February. As such, he's using that to his advantage to bully Clemson into taking on everyone he wants to be there. It sucks that he basically says he won't come to LSU because we won't sign all of "his boys", but I'm glad the staff didn't put themselves in the position that the Clemson staff has where the kid is publicly dictating terms to them.
He must be a great player...but if you have to use up 4 spots to get...and keep...the one you really want...then he isn't worth it....unless you really do want those other 3.
That's just outrageous to allow a recruit to determine 4 spots on your recruiting board like that. I don't care how good he is. It's the wrong message to send and it will only get worse after he signs because of the seed being planted.
I like the kid as a prospect and would have loved to get him but that's just too much.

I'm there to play for the team, not myself.". DS
This stuff is all just getting silly. Nobody is going to want Nkemdiche now. Sorry to say it, but the kid has made it loud and clear he is going to control his coaches. He has gotten Clemson/Dabo to waste 3 scholarships now on NON BCS-school prospects at best. Only Gallman is worth a BCS-school scholarship, and even then is NOT a big time guy at his position (not a take for an LSU/Bama type of school).
No #1 recruit is worth this trouble, THREE wasted scholarships just to "Secure" his commitment...
Paul Mainieri = 328-135 ovr (70.8%), 119-89 SEC (57.2%), 21-10 NCAA (67.7%), 3 CWS App., 1 National Title
While I agree the 3 scholarships aren't worth it, the biggest problem for me is attitude, not scholarships. RN thinks he can get his way on everything. Scared to see what happens for him once he doesn't get his way one day.
What's gonna happen when one of his boys that he got on the team is not getting any playing time. Is he gonna transfer then? This is to much Headache to worry with for 1 player, unless it's Cam Newton maybe LOL.
If we get Tim Williams and maybe Patterson and or Neal step up, how much difference is Nkemdiche really? Is he worth a waste of 3 players off the roster? He is THAT much better than Williams, or Patterson, or Neal or maybe Prevot? Who is Nkemdiche's backup when he comes out of the game or is injured? That alone is a reason not to take him. His bullying of a Clemson program desparate to end the choking of games to equal or inferior opponents not to mention the Orange bowl debacle notwithstanding. Purely is Debo's fault and cross to bear. Clemson graduated a 1st rounder or a high draft choice DL I believe, last year and he didn't stop them from being slightly above mediocre. Neither will Nkemdiche.
I will take the ones we are going to have. Daniele Hunter, Rasco, and the ones from this class. There is no room for a one man show at LSU.
Regards to All,
It certainly gives the impression that Dabo Sweeney is getting punked by a recruit. That can't be good for him or for Clemson. I am curious as to how he responds to this...if some reporter asks him.
Dabo will lose a lot of credibility by letting this kid dictate his recruiting. This is turning into a soap opera.
Dabo has a lot of credibility to lose? That doesn't sound right...
