Thanks for the update, really wish I could watch...Instead, I'm watching Dallas choking, again...argggg!!!
Man the state of LA has some serious talent... lots of guys that LSU would definitely normally take are now having to go to our rivals, or non-BCS schools.
Proud to support everything Louisiana
can someone give us an update on the game? How are our boys doing now?
Really wasnt that exciting ...
Final notes from me on the LSU guys:
Neal: Noticeably hobbled by a leg injury of somekind, as Sonny eluded to during his coverage. Neal has great moves as far as getting off his block or swimming past the defender. Pursuit was not there at times tonight due to injury but played well. Tipped a few passes and made a few special team tackles as well as in on a few regular plays. Almost got a sack with Lawson but couldnt get his other hand on the QB. He is a physical specimen fro his height with giant muscular arms but I think he could work on his agility and speed and become a part of the defense as a 3rd down rush end hybrid player. Not sure hes an every down DE in the SEC but there is def. a place for him on the defensive side of the ball. Hes a gamer for his positions much like Mathieu was one for the DB spots. Chavis will get his talent out of him to the field in some way, shape, or fashion.
Patterson: Needs to add some weight to handle tackels better than he did but is a smart players and has the speed off the snap to beat the defender. Contained well tonight, although he took himself out of a few plays tonight over pursuing the play. Keeps his hands up well on passing plays and caused the QB problems in throwing lanes. Had a sack tonight but I thought it was more to do with the QB running away from another defendr into the arms of Patterson. Played well though and has a good upside.
Lawson: Quick off the ball but you can tell he needs work with technique. Shot gaps well tonight and caused the pocket to collapse a few times on QB. Seems to me that hes a got the physical parts just needs to put it all together with some coaching. Had a sack tonight on a "Weird" rip move where the threw both hands to one side that got him free past the guard. I see him more of a disruptor on the DL that could just cause a lot of chaos at this stage of his game.
Robinson: Best LSU commit to me on the field tonight. Played solid coverage all night and Im not sure he ever left the field for the blue team. His height causes serious problems for WRs and gives him incredible leverage over WRs on the deep ball. Great recovery speed as he bit on a move tonight and then came back to force play to sideline and eventually putting WR in back position for catch. As Sonny said the kids needs to be in Moffits back pocket in the wieght room for lower body workouts. Looks like a ture track athlete out there but has great ball skills. Reminds me a lot, physically, of Derrick Raymond from last class but farther along with technique for corner. Had several tackles tonight and played well to the sidelines. Had a INT over Kyrion Parker on a deep ball but it was more of an Robinson was in better postion that Parker than it was a jump ball. Payback from earlier in the game where Parker ran Robinson over. (Needs to add weight badly) Overall I think he has tons of potential and the sky is the limit for him at LSU. I could see him at S or CB at LSU with his instincts, speed, and ball skills.

Thanks Haze. Great write-up.
Thanks for the update!
Thanks for the update, guys! Looks like the Tiger commits represented themselves well.
Good stuff and thanks for sharing. I didn't get to catch the game either so if anyone notices a replay time or schedule please post.
Thanks ... but now going back to read what I typed makes me feel stupid because I never proofread anything I write on message boards. Hope yall could follow some parts of that mess as it was just rambling of what I saw throughout the course of the game. Cheers!!! Happy New Years to everyone!!!
