Sugar Bowl vs Clemson!!
I'll gladly take that. I know someone who would be a lot of fun to be around for that game. Got a grad degree from LSU but an alumn of Clemson.
I remember being at the Peach Bowl in 1996 and it was a fun atmosphere with the bands trying to outdo one another and the fans going at it on who were the real Tigers.
A close, but good game that ended 10-7 for LSU.
Let me open this up a bit - assuming it's not our Tigers in a NC game, where do you think LSU will land?
Steele aside, who would you like to play - top five choices?
Mine are Alabama, Notre Dame, Florida, Oklahoma, and Michigan.
I was at the game between Clemson and LSU the year LSU won the NC (1958) when Billy Cannon threw a TD pass in the 4th quarter to win the game 7-0. Not sure about the receiver, but I think it was Truax.
Cannon threw the pass to Mickey Mangham, who passed away in the last year or so (recently).
Truax was a great TE also but came along in the sixties. The first huge TE for LSU.

Regards to All,
My choices would be Notre Dame or Kansas State.
Of course to play Notre Dame they'd have to lose to USC and we'd have to be the 2nd BCS SEC team as I'm sure ND will get a BCS bid even with a USC loss.
Guess the same would apply to KSU because if they beat Texas they will get the Big 12 automatic BCS bid?
If those opponents aren't available because we fall out of the BCS, I'll take Oklahoma in the Cotton. I'd prefer that to one of the Big 10-SEC Florida bowls. But I suspect Cotton execs will prefer A&M?
Let's hope we don't fall out of the BCS cluster.
I've got Florida and Alabama on my list because I'd like another shot at them. But as they say, be careful of what you wish for.
I'll be looking for Steele's update after Saturday's contests.
Clemson would be a good game. I would be worried about them the way our D has played recently though. Tahj Boyd and Sammy Watkins are no joke.
"That was Death Valley,". "That was the place where opponents' dreams come to die. Coach Les Miles after the LSU - South Carolina game.
Don't see any rematches in bowl games short of a miracle that leaves LSU and Florida/Alabama 1-2 in BCS.
My least favorite matchup would be vs. a Big 10 team like Wisconsin or Northwestern in one of the Florida bowls because I don't believe they would be competitive games.
