Does anyone know why RT Alex Hurst left the team and can we assume he is gone for bowl game? Rather strange for a two year starter to jump ship mid season.
As for 2013, do we look for the following O line starters: LT = Faulk, LG = Collins, C = Porter, RG = Turner, RT = Alexander?
Who is in line for back up center behind Porter?
Thanks any insight and comments!

I asked a similar question about a week ago and basically was told that he was havng some pretty bad personal issues and after acouple of bad games it just made things so bad that he thought it was best for him to leave the team and take care of the personal issues. Sorry dont have the details but this is basically what I was told
That's the gist of it right there. Personal issues outside of football, plus some unhappiness on the field with being moved to LT. That about sums it up and it's sad that his career ended on such a note.
Thanks for the insight Sonny! Unusual ending for a starter...
Q; Who do you think is in line to be back up center in 2013? I assume Porter is projected to start?
I think i heard something about josh williford being backup center as well as swing guy next year kinda in TBob Hebert role.
That is one big ass back up center. Isnt he like 6'8"? Centers are usually 6'3" or so. Whatever it takes I guess.
I think they will have to cross-train someone on the 2nd team O-line during the spring and one of the true freshmen will have a chance to step in if there is no immediate relief from a JC guy.
Who that would be from the 2nd Team OL right now is a mystery. I would think maybe you look at Jonah Austin or possibly even Trai Turner in case Elliot Porter would go down.
I think you hit the OL on the head. Can't really see it any other way at this point. I do think Jerald Hawkins is next in line at OT.

I think Turner would probably cross train at center. Ben Domingue could still be around and he has gotten reps in practices for some time now. Even though he's a walk on, he might find himself in the two-deep with a strong spring and fall.
