Collinsworth just said the NYG have questioned RR's work ethic and they are hoping he grows up into a pro. WTF? Anyone heard anything about this?
Never heard anyone question his work ethic before, but he doesn't appear to play with a lot of passion. Sometimes I wonder if football is just something he does because he's really good at it, but not necessarily something he loves.
I know that's just Randle's personality, but Mo Claiborne is also a quiet, shy kid who turns into a warrior on the football field.
Well, if hes really that shy, he better figure out how to get past that. He just got called out on natinal tv.
Collinsworth is not known for great inside scoop so I call bs. If there were issues he wouldn't be on the field. It's not like the Giants don't have other WR.
Collinsworth is a consummate professional and IMO one of the smartest football analysts around. Whether it's true or not is debatable, but he didn't just make it up out of thin air. It came from someone within the organization.
That's what I think it is too. He's a 21-year old in the NFL and there will be growing pains. Let him go through them and not judge him against others who may be the same age but it's still not apples to apples in the full complexity of things.
Ok...but at this point he is without question the #4 WR for NYG. Even without Nix, RR has barely seen the field. Thats not good.
RR must be doing something wrong if that #13 is playing ahead of him. I swear I think Patrick Robinson or Jibari Greer could cover that guy and Malcolm Jenkins could tackle him. Now, that's bad!
It would not surprise me if a Giants coach purposefully planted that quote for Collinsworth to use on primetime national television to try and light a fire under Randle.
Because he made negative comments about an LSU player, he's full of it?
FTR, during the draft, analysts were saying that he dropped because he pretty much quit in the NCG.
So I'm sure Collingsworth is just making stuff up about him because that's all those professional football NFL analysts do, right?
Why is this a shock? That was the same tab he had on him at LSU early on. Slept walked through practices...
I sure wish he had his poor work ethic back in Baton Rouge we could sure use him right now.
No doubt RR has a low key personality. It was a minor thing, but I still think telling. I recall when LSU would come out of the tunnel before games inevitably Badger and Poppa would be in the front with Miles "holding them back". RR would be the last out the tunnel with the walkons. Not indicative of talent obviously but telling as to his personality.
Has nothing to do with Randle being an ex LSU player.
Yes Jacket you are correct. Did not work hard in the weight room or at practice 80% of his career at LSU. I knew he would have trouble when he went to the Giants. He is playing for a real coach now. Not that Miles isn't, but Coughlin does not play any games. You bring it or he gets rid of your ass. RR needs a coach like him. I just hope he responds.
Man that kid had a crappy attitude when he was being recruited.
A Tiger always, he didnt work hard while he was in baton rouge
I was never a fan of his!!!
I see him 4 and out
I'm there to play for the team, not myself.". DS
I'm guessing you bought that night before signing day bs hook, line and sinker. It wasn't what it was made out to be. Randle's recruitment was very, very quiet until the last couple of weeks. That's when the whole plan started to come into place. We weren't forced into an ultimatum.
You got that right, my friend!
RR will get it together and he will be fine in NY
Give it time. You'll see
