Will school with best child care land Foster?
By Phil Kornblut
LB Reuben Foster Foster of Auburn, AL, one of the top rated players in the country at his position, will bring more to his college than his talents. He will also bring a three year old daughter. And Foster said child care will play a major part in his decision.
“The school I pick has to have a good daycare program and good babysitters in case she wants to spend the night with me and I have football,” Foster told ESPN.
“They coaches have to have a good bond with her too. My little girl has to like them and she knows who she likes. She likes Auburn — and she likes Alabama. Those are the only two schools she likes, but she has not seen Georgia yet but I plan to take her there to see them too.”
Foster has been committed to Alabama and Auburn at one time or another, most recently to Auburn. He now plans to take his five official visits and is scheduled to visit Washington January 11th. He said USC probably will get a visit as well. He's also looking at LSU, Georgia and Miami for official visits.
ETA: Can a school pay for his kid's childcare? If not how can he afford to pay for it? Violation waiting to happen? Will definitely come up with Bama fans if he goes to Auburn and vice versa.

I thought I had heard this was a major issue for Priest Willis too? He wanted to make sure that he was comfortable and that his sister was comfortable there.
Also, Foster picked Notre Dame to win the championship game so either he is a really good poker player or he is not going to Tuscy town.

If I remember right, with Willis, it was his little sister. I could be wrong though.
It is his sister.
Thanks for putting me in my place and clearing it up gents. Pretty big difference in terms of responsibility. Haha
I believe it is okay as long as it is offered free to all students.
That's why we wander and follow La Vie Dansante...
LSU has a highly accredited LSU Child Care Center that serves fulltime students, staff, and faculty. Monthly tuition is $660 monthly for students. They take children 6 weeks thru 5 years old.
The Louisiana Dept of Social Services takes applications for monies toward this service. Not sure how a OOS student gets qualified for services.
I'd imagine every univiersity has outstanding facilities in this area.
I cant believe recruiting has come down to this!!
No freaking lie....let the kid go elsewhere. His kid has to like the coaches??? Another entitled punk.........
Sorry but thats just crap. He will go to AU. No way he drags a kid out of town and away from his support network.
Let him go....
When asked who our natural rivals are I reply: Everybody we hate em all!!!
He already did it once when he moved from Georgia to Auburn before his senior year.
Damn, After all that happen yesterday u are guys are mad because he wants to make sure his daughter is taken care of...unbelieveable and I guess nothing surprises me anymore about society or some of the LSU fan base for that matter...We shouod be happy he wants to be a responsible parent..but no it al about the greater good of LSU...SMH I pray that God points him in the right direction
Auburn, Bama & Georgia are all much closer to wherever the kid lives than LSU.
Aggie writer Taylor Hamm said this yesterday:
AgRecruitNut10: Who will be in charge of Reuben Foster's recruitment? Is this a guy that likely won't make up his mind until signing day?
Hamm: I urge you guys not to get attached to the idea of Foster signing with A&M. It’s going to be Georgia, Auburn or Alabama. He’s not going far from his child. As for who’s responsible for recruiting him, it’s Terry Price. Foster is likely to play out his recruitment until signing day.

Dont you dare compare this kid and his demands to the massacre in CT.
You dont know anything about this kid so spare me the do-gooder rhetoric. I live in AL and if you have followed hsi recruitment it has been anything but conventional in MANY ways.
Ever wonder why he -de-committed from Bama and committed to Trooper taylor???????
dont lectuire me you goon.....

Getting Foster might be tougher.
Several Florida sites saying Muschamp has flipped Auburn LB recruit Jarrad Davis. 247 Sports showing him as a Florida commit.
Oh. My. God.
Wow guys this is a LSU board for God sakes. Do we need to lower ourselves to AU/UA standards.
No, which is exactly why I deleted my post. ..I forgot just how much ignorance is every where definitely in some in our fan base and I apologize my LSU fam...
Best wishes to him. Let's trade recruiting Ruben Foster tomorrow for Carl Lawson today. Strong work again 58, saw that Gators got him. They are stocking up on LBs as though it was 2012 recruiting for LSU. Powell decommitted after Rollin flipped from South Cackalacka.
