247's Taylor Hamm was on hand today for Ricky Seals-Jones' Army All-American jersey presentation.
Here's an update on the day's events as well as his recruitment process.

Without Johnny football, A$M is 6-6 team
Good thing he'll be there for 3 more years then
Probably 2 more years...
I thought it was illegal for current or past players to talk to recruits outside of their official visit??
Proud to support everything Louisiana
Bet you said they would be lucky to win 6 in the SEC. That Sumlin's offense couldn't win the SEC.
I don't see A&M doing to well next year. They lose a lot of good players and possibly most of their O-line.
Perhaps they will prove me wrong but I see A&M having trouble adjusting next year.
They lose some major NFL talen on Oline and the SEC will have an offseason to talk about Manziel.
I see tougher sledding for them next year.

98% of teams go as the QB goes. Manziel is a mega-superstar in the making and can/will carry a team on his back. The more mature and knowledgeable he gets, the better he will be.
The SEC West is in for alot of fighting for that top spot with A&M and the Texas recruiting base. As much as you guys don't want to admit that, it is what it is.
As most things go in this league, just give the D coordinators an offseason to study film on the A&M offense and it will be widely shut down next year. LSU had a pretty good recipe in the second half of our game. Manziel is a good football player, and very-exciting but mega-superstar...hahaha, I really hope you are kidding. I honestly think he is due for a sophmore slump. A&M regresses next year IMO.

This is why I thought Bama would have better success with stopping Manziel. I think a lot of teams will watch that LSU film as we have been the only team to contain him as best as you can
Exactly of you make the guy throw it enough and take his running ability out of the picture then he is gonna force the ball and make some mistakes and overthrows.
The reason Bama had trouble with him is because they tried to heat up the pocket too much and he was killing them on throws on the run or rollouts. Plus the Bama secondary is highly overrated as proved by Mettenberger and Manziel in consecutive weeks.
There is the rub on Bama's defense though in my opinion. I don't know that they are built to adapt; they are built to force you (the offense) to adapt. Does that make sense? Tey are designed to make you one-dimensional but when you have speed to wear down the big backers and sometimes when you wear them down by coming straight at them they have problems. I don't think they adapt well to high-tempo very well because I think they are predicated on forcing their will.
I would be willing to eat crow, but that is one reason I think they would struggle with Oregon; I'm probably in a minority there. But look at Georgia Southern last year and this year with our hurry-up, by the end of the game their entire defense was gassed and their defensive coaches were running around like crazy flustered people on the sidelines.
I think our defense is better suited to stop Manziel than Bama and that's why I'm really happy with the guys that Chief has put together, just need to get them a little older now.
Sounds like a strong lean to aTm for RSJ, but I don't think that's a huge surprise.
Made perfect sense. Good post.

I definitely think Oregon would give Bama's defense 1 helluva game (as long as they dont play like they did vs Stanford lol)
