Just spotted two of the recent Texas signees, DE Danielle Hunter and S Corey Thompson, walking into the administration building, and both guys look to be in great shape. Haley told me that with Hunter, the sky is the limit, but he just needs to understand technique better and continue developing. I've also been told by a coach that Thompson is going to press Martin hard for a starting spot next year. So both guys look to be great additions at this stage.
Since it's been discussed in other posts recently, here's the breakdown of recruiting classes and the Texas kids on next year's roster (classifications are for next year, also):
Craig Loston - S - Sr.
Signed ATH Russell Shepard (graduation), DT Michael Brockers (NFL) and OT Stavion Lowe (transferred for playing time)
Evan Washington - OL - Jr.
Luke Muncie - LB - Sr.
James Hairston - K - Jr.
Signed CB David Jenkings and OLB Trevon Randle, but Jenkins transferred to TCU for playing time, while Randle left because of grades after his first fall semester.
Jalen Mills - CB - So.
Corey Thompson - S - So.
Danielle Hunter - S - So.
There are a lot of Texas names on the board for the 2014 class, so the number should certainly rise above the zero from this year, and should also pass up the three signees in 2012.
Thoughts? Who are some of the bigger misses, or which names did you think the staff misevaluated and should have pressed?

Based on hype and info I heard, I am shocked at Evan Washington's career so far.
Had HIGH expectations for him.
Mike Davis could've really helped this year had he not flipped to the Horns. Not sure if there was anything that could've been done to stop that though. I'd also like to have an elite speed back like Lache Seastrunk, but again, him getting away may have been unavoidable.
I would include Lacoutre for this year.

I can't think of any that we missed on particularly, but I think it is imperative that we always keep a presence in TX because of the obscene numbers of prospects that they produce every year.
Yeah, this kid was actually at College Station before he moved to Nebraska...Weird, but I think he'll be a good one.
I think he only went to A&M Consolidated High School for one year.
He was at Odessa Permion before that
I thought I had put Lee on there. Thanks, coach.
I agree with this. He and his parents only moved to Nebraska because they thought he was gonna suit up as a Husker. He has lived there for less than a year but he is naturally a TX kid.

I agree that Mike Davis is the one I look at and say "LSU could have really used him and he could have been an All-SEC type player."
