I was looking at LSU's schedule today, and it looks like we play some teams twice and some once, even though the conference is not separated into divisions.
The teams we play twice are: South Carolina, Missouri, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Alabama. The teams we play once are Kentucky, Georgia, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Florida and Vandy, Tennessee and Auburn.
The schedule just seems very random to me, though I think it's nice that LSU only has to play Kentucky and Florida once each.
I noticed that the other day. It's strange we don't play the west teams twice.
It would seem much easier to keep that way.
Play 6 West teams 2x for 12 games
Play 6 East teams for 6 games
Guess we would just miss 1 team

The SEC scheduling is basketball makes as much sense as it does in football. The SEC office seems pretty clueless
