Mascona just reported that per Hunt Palmer.
"They're on our left, they're on our right, they're in front of us, they're behind us....They can't get away this time." Chesty Puller
HuntPalmerBBI: UHIGH DE Tim Williams tell me he's committed to Alabama. He added he doesn't plan to take any more visits.
"That was Death Valley,". "That was the place where opponents' dreams come to die. Coach Les Miles after the LSU - South Carolina game.
Good luck to him. I hope he figures out what has plagued him (i.e. the reasons LSU stopped recruiting him months ago).
"You can learn more character on the two-yard line than anywhere else in life." - Former LSU Coach and AD Paul Dietzel
Wonder if we will ever know why LSU stopped recruiting him... he's in for a rude awakening if he really thinks he's going to start at OLB for them next year. Tim will have to add at least 30 lbs before he sees the field in their system (unless he plays at Safety lol). Hope he does well in Gumpville, except vs LSU of course lol!
ETA: Pretty shocked Saban decided to take him with their #'s being so tight and so many big targets still left on the board.

Proud to support everything Louisiana
Just don't get your hopes up for Brumfield, Brossette, and Moses. Don't get too comfortable at U-high.
Kind of interesting how none of the Bama posters are asking why LSU stopped recruiting him... I guess they think it's another "LC" situation lol
I don't know why, but I'm not upset by this at all. I guess it's because we found out months ago that LSU moved on.
I was talking to the Bama fan......as far as them thinking they will get a foot hold into the school cause of Williams. He was kinda borderline bragging imo.
Ok, I gotcha. Yeah, they won't get the other guys. TW was a different situation. LSU stopped recruiting him. I wish TW the best and hope he can figure things out b/c IMO Bama will cut him loose quickly if he goes over there with issues.
Valid pionts. I actually believe you are right. I think TW can (if he buys in) thrive in college. Might wanna enlighten your BOL buddies with some of that knowledge.
First, they think they got the number one player in the state. Anyone who watches football in Louisiana knows that it not true (even a national guy commented on this - Brian Perroni).
Second, most on BOL and tBB believe that Bama "beat us" in his recruitment. Again, false. We stopped recruiting him months ago.
Third, TW is absolutely a project. Probably more than Kwon because it was easy to tell that Kwon's issues (his knee) was healed prior to signing him. TW is going to have to change his mindset to make it. He is a boom or bust whereas I think Kwon was a bit more of a sure thing.
Again, I wish him luck but, as many have pointed out here and as few understand on BOL, this was not a LSU/Bama battle and shouldn't be construed as such.

I hear ya
some of my favorite BOL responses so far:
Outstanding - Going into Baton Rouge and getting the #1 player in the state away from Lsu. ninja
Louisiana pipeline still going strong! Roll Tide Tim Williams!
Now that is just nice. LSU can't keep the state's best players.
This is another steal from lsu
Awesome. I wonder why LSU fell out of the running for him?
i think we obvioulsy went after him to help against the spread.....fast lb but still big frame......fair trade for kwon a
Roll Tide to Her
That might be the reason. He probably fits better in a 3-4. However, the responses two posts above from BOL idiots are just hilarious.
What a bunch of idiots.
I think it is a good get for them. He does fit their system and can be a huge player for them in the future. He could also be a huge bust. I think Bama can afford to take the risk though because they have 30+ Jack linebackers.
Good for Bama for taking his commit. Congrats to TW! Glad LSU is looking elsewhere to fill the remaining spots.
I think this now makes 15 jack LB's on bama's team its got to be a record!!!!!
My Bama friend just text me bragging about getting Louisianas best player and I sent him screen shots of beckwiths, whites, and Williams profiles on 247 just to prove him wrong. He said "dang, I'm going to call out the guy who wrote the article. He freaking lied!"
Where do they come up with this stuff?
Actually, they might have a chance with Garrett B, but Dylan and N,. Brossette..............ain't happening!
"It's my hometown, and that's big for me," Henry said. "It's about playing for the home team in front of family
Rivals hasn't updated their rankings yet. ESPN also has him ranked outside the top 300.
I would love to hear S/S's opinion on ESPNs rankings.
There are a lot of head scratchers for me in the Louisiana prospects in the ESPN rankings. Tre'davious White and Josh Boutte are a couple and Williams outside the Top 300 is another one for me.
Brumfield doesn't even mention bama currently. He likes Lsu along with A&M and Florida. S&S know best and they say we shouldn't worry about the U High pipeline. It's 1 guy with a unique set of circumstances. These kids are smart; they know the reasons.
