I really wish we could post something over there just to set the record straight lol!
How and why cant outsiders post on BOL? Is it just yet another way for Bammers to prove that they are better than everyone else??
Proud to support everything Louisiana
How can you prove to be better than someone else in this case? No fanbase is better than another. Bama fans are the most entitled bunch of clowns Ive ever met.
How dare we declare them Bammers idiots on our own board! Can we get banned for that?
Good decision for him. Peculiar decision for Bama.
It's all about them waving the Flag saying look at what we did. Nicky really wanted this one for that reason - to wave the flag and for the - albeit incorrect - publicity with it.
There have been multiple people and/or rumors that ESPN ranks kids who attend the UA game higher than those that go to the Army game. Is this not a major conflict of interest? That's like rigging a football game, imo.
And Rivals ranks a lot of the kids from the Army game higher. It's not a conflict, it's just marketing.
That's why we wander and follow La Vie Dansante...
Bama fans dont question Nick Saban's recruiting decisions at this point. Why would we? When he signs a kid that another coach backed off or didnt want, we see it as the other coach making a bad decision. After 3 BCS titles thats just how we feel. I understand fully that Les Miles didnt recruit Williams. I really dont care about that. Les didnt recruit Denzell Duvall either and by the way Nick Saban only offered Kwon Alexander a greyshirt...Coaches have their reasons for wanting particular players. In the end the only thing that matters is whether a coach is winning with the guys he signs. I think coach Saban is doing ok with his leftovers...Historically ok
Insecure? If it wasn't that big of a deal to you, why did you need to come to the LSU board to say something about it? Please, enlighten me oh wise Gump.
By the way, there is no possible way you can answer this without sounding more arrogant than you already do...
"You can learn more character on the two-yard line than anywhere else in life." - Former LSU Coach and AD Paul Dietzel
Im just explaining how Bama fans felt about Williams picking Bama. We arent bragging about beating LSU for Williams. There's no need for that. We're happy that Nick Saban got a kid that he wanted. Les Miles didnt want Williams and thats fine with us. All im saying is we'll take him because Nick Saban wants him and thats all we need to know these days.
Have you been on your own message board? Have you looked at tBB? Not bragging about a percieved victory over LSU? If you truly believe this, go and personally straighten out the BOL posters and spend less time on Geaux247.
I dont see a single thread on BOL saying we beat LSU for Williams. At least I didnt when I was last over there. I'll check again though.. It wouldnt shock me if a few uninformed people tried to spin this as a head to head recruiting battle between bama and LSU..Honestly the majority of fans on both sides know thats not the case...Our mods clearly stated that Williams to Bama was aided by LSU's lack of interest. The same way Kwon Alexander to LSU was made possible by Kwon being asked to delay enrollment..Thats how recruiting works man. Bama and LSU both have good programs. Bama gets the guys they want LSU gets the guys they want.
At this point, beating any school for a player is not important to me as a Bama fan. I just want Nick Saban picking whoever we get...
Go read the thread where the Mods posted that he committed. That is where you will find the posts, that I posted here.
"That was Death Valley,". "That was the place where opponents' dreams come to die. Coach Les Miles after the LSU - South Carolina game.
Given the Bama tight numbers and strenght of 2013 class, I'm surprised about this move.
But Saban has used this opportunity before to keep a hand in talent rich Louisiana - Sentimore and Eddie Lacy immediately come to mind. Lacy, argueably, was the best LA RB in his class and he was followed closely by LSU and Miles. But they felt he would be a academic non-qualifier. Sentimore eventually found his way to GCCC and then Tennessee. Both he and Lacy are declaring early.
I've read conflicting reports on Williams - one report says he has an attitude problem, takes plays off, and may not qualify academically. Another states these reports as unfounded.
My take is LSU decided to pass on Tim and they are in a unique and preferred position to know whether he fits their needs.
Time to move on - good luck to Tim.
Miles backed off Lacy and Sentimore - it's not an exact science.
Lacy had a solid career at Bama. Sentimore eventually found his way to the Volunteers via JUCO. He had a solid one year with Vols. Both of these guys are leaving early for the NFL.
Taking Tim Williams keeps Saban's finger in the LA pie. I can't fault him for taking an obvious promising recruit, not can I fault LSU for taking a pass here.
Read some of your own BOL posters' comments:
-Outstanding, Going into Baton Rouge and getting the #1 player in the state away from Lsu. ninja
-Now that is just nice. LSU can't keep the state's best players.
-This is another steal from lsu

Then you're not looking hard enough. Plenty of idiotic comments floating around out there.
Also, be happy that you can come over here and voice your opinion without having to sign up for Geaux247. BOL doesn't want anyone that's not a Bama fan commenting on their board.
