After Ole Miss lit us up last week, looks like we didn't learn from that. Wilson passes for 361 yds today, and we gave up over 450 total yds.....Not gonna win any bowl game unless Chief puts some fixes in. Arky totally out played us today and fortunately helped us seal the win! I'll take it but we are better than this.
Well said, I still can't figure it out. Our d line gets zero pressure. Not what I'd expect from a group with 3 possible 1st round picks.
Also, our blitz concept leaves a lot to be desired. They are always picked up & our LBs & our DB's get zero press. I don't know if we're beat up or tired, but our tackling leaves a lot to be desired as well.
The defensive line has disapeared and been no factor. Granted Mingo did get legit mugged on a few occasions with no flag. Amazed at how slow the DT's look. Also the young secondary has been exposed. The tackling was horrible today. But still a 10 win season.
Only gave up 13 points. I'll take it.
Agree. 10 wins with a chance for 11 is nice but what happened to our attacking pressure style of defense. The line gets zero pressure and push and chavis still sits back in a soft zone.
ALL SCHEDULES ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL
2013 BAMA GETS KY & TN; LSU GETS FL & GA. SEEMS FAIR (ROLLING EYES)
LSU = MOST SEC WINS SINCE 2010
Only problem is that we end up with crappy field position. Also lucky their kicker missed 2 field goals.
We can't blitz because we can't cover. Absolutely no depth in our secondary except for maybe a player or two.

A few things I notice. We are too predictable on offense. When Ford came in for that 4th and short it was a given he was going wide and they stuffed it. They stack the line on 1st down and still we try to run on 1st down and get stuffed. The QB should be able to check off it. Mett is not doing so well as our qb on the road, much better at home, OK that is generally true of all qb's. Hopefully he will improve or the job should be open.
This was their bowl game and Senior day for them so they outplayed us for sure.
I said last week and the week before that the team appears tired. The defense especially. They were all but invisible with regards to pressure on a dangerous thrower today. I hated to allude that several of them looked like they are gazing toward the draft and a season ending, but there are some juniors not stepping up right now on that line. The DB's are susceptible without a rush to help them...they have their coverage limitations.
I think the Tigers would be in trouble if they had to play next week. Hope they get a shot anyway. If that means Bama losing and LSU in, I'll take it. I don't expect much to change though.
LSU looks spent... on both lines of scrimmage today.
Regards to All,
I think this post is on target.
The Tigers look tired, flatfooted, and I think Reid and Loston are playing hurt.
When you lose the likes of Faulk, Blue, Williford, Muncie and have Reid and Loston going down and getting up on a regular basis, you're going to feel it eventually.
LSU has any number of wins over top twenty teams who are battling with some of the same issues.
It's still a game of emotion and momentum - the Razorbacks seemed to have more in their tank at home.
I'll take the W and think this bunch will re-group.
I've been saying for a few years now, that this is a signature of Les Miles' teams at LSU, other than last year.
They look tired and beat up at the end of the year, which is (IMO) why we struggle with (mostly) inferior Ole Miss and Arkansas teams to close the season, year after year.
I've often wondered if there's something about the intensity of practice that takes a toll on the players as the year wears on. I might be wrong, but for sure this is not the only year this has happened, in fact I would argue starting with 2007, we've seen this pattern every year except last year.
Ronald Martin really needs to shore up his awareness if he is going to be the heir to Eric Reid's spot at free safety should Reid leave after this year. Martin has had a lot of busts this year.
But to get back to the question at hand, the secondary has no legs left and the D-line has just not gotten it done to the level that they are capable of.
