Darrels name is starting to spread around the country, schools are calling, pick up another offer from Tulane today. Auburn got in contact, miss st we will be going there next week.they sound ready.
It was a matter of time coach. He is definitely an SEC quality back. Really want him in the class but I think the coaches are just being overly cautious with Fournette and selective as a whole with the overall class as has been mentioned many times by Sonny and Shea.
Has LSU maintained any contact with him?

Thanks for the updates man and keep em' coming.
He'll get his LSU offer once they get a couple looks at him. I hope he ends up a Tiger.
Danielle Hunter, Jamario Rasco, Anthony FREAK Johnson.. DL wrecking crew of 2013.
Honest,I talk to.em.a a lot.,but Darrell hasn't as much as we would like
Staff knows better than you. Pretty simple, Darrell if I had to guess if given an LSU offer would almost undoubtedly be a Tiger and sooner than later, however the staff knowing this will want to get the very best evaluation on not only him but also other RBs to compare to him and see what direction they go in.
I'm more upset we haven't offered Cameron Sims, Jermaine Roberts, and Joseph Paul. I Know we can't take everyone in the state, but I would hate to let those 3 guys leave the state.
"That was Death Valley,". "That was the place where opponents' dreams come to die. Coach Les Miles after the LSU - South Carolina game.
LA has been fenced off for a decade.
Also, 2013 JUST started and we're talking about 2014 guys. We always, always recruit like this.
Not to be mean but have you guys payed attention to recruiting the past 12 years?
i think you knew the answer before you asked. They want us to take 20 kids from La so we dont hurt anybodies feelings, but these coaches know that our staff is looking to sign the best 25 they can. I always want La kids but i damn sure aint taking Jermaine Roberts over Tony Brown or Ed Paris. Cameron Sims is very good but hes not in the same class of player. more importantly he hasnt shown the LSU staff he is comparable to Dupre, Quinn or Noil. Darrell is very talented, and if he wants to be at LSU he will wait and allow the staff to properly evaluate him and make a decision.
You are never going to stop good players from leaving the state altogether. Some kids just want to leave Louisiana... some need to leave Louisiana to get away from the people they've been hanging out with in high school. We have generally done a super job of keeping the talent we want here in the state. Collins & Devall were both leaving the state and no amount of effort the staff put in was going to change their minds.
Jermaine Roberts = Tre'Davious White before people knew who he was at about the same time last year
Cameron Sims IMO is better than Keenan Brown who has reported an LSU offer.
And I'm not saying Jermaine Roberts is better than Tony Brown or Ed Paris, but he isn't that far behind them IMO.

Jermaine Roberts highlights, just in case you never have seen the kid play.
Watch as Jermaine Roberts (# 2) shows his skills as a cornerback during his junior year at St. Augustine High School. For more information, please contact Coach Cyril Crutchfield (firstname.lastname@example.org). He can also be reached at (504) 944-2424.
We've lost a handful of guys we wanted the past 10 years.. State has had a fence for a while now, that's obvious.
Its still early,LSU wants to see Darrel at June camp, him an Leonard both be there,be a good comparison. One thing I know is when we have a good kid, need to sign em. Chris the only player we sent to school that didn't start. But that was more Chris.Darrel work ethic is best since kordell.only reason he's not as known as other backs,he was at Higgins his soph yr,coaches didn't do SWAT. He ran for almost 1500yds counting playoff game. Compare the 2 common teams he an Leonard played against walker an rummel. He hit walker up for 203yds.and he gave rummel hell ,think 138yds. Talk to Frank,he explained we fine,at same time we not waiting on LSU to come around, they may not,we hope, but we have to protect Darrel 1st. I refuse to let him be a Lawson. So we respect LSU an their process, and infill something solid happens,It's full ahead steam.long time till February,no panic, but others team are coming, rankings don't mean much to us,we know what a true john ehret player is ,only a few schools can match our kids once they get to school. That's include Curtis ,who ever else,I use drake as my example, best d lineman since Dorsey. But he wasn't highly recruited ,Darrel situation reminds me of that awful lot. He does his thing,he 'll be fine ,long as he don't go to bama lol.
thing with me is not waiting on leonard,he earned that great kid , awsome player is kinding of recriuting other backs os backs, them other backs are not coming to lsu with leonard point blank. they coach want let em.os state back coming to louisana to play with 5* bk from LA,never, but a kid from LA whos in same city, knows he a monster too ,to where he an leonard can work out over summmer together,be the next marshalll an gurley. thats route that seems relistic.
Isn't Roberts at St Aug, probably the most evaluated program in the state for 2014? None of those kids are under the radar. And LSU can't get sucked into offering all of LF's friends to sign him. We're not Clemson.
i seen him a few times, great skills, seen go against qinn, dupree, all of em ,held his own, just his size is an issue for lsu, but i love this kid , got heart , from new orleans so he has that swag you need in a corner. watch him compete against 35, they had talent at wr, he did his thing.
ye, i ll take simms over brown don't get that one.
I wonder if Brown attended camp last year. If so that probably gave the staff a chance to verify his speed, which many say is the biggest question on Sims. Recruiting Brown may also be about strengthening the LSU relationship with schools in the Houston area. Just my opinion.
I doubt it,not many 6'4 wr's out
I know LSU has told him camp would be when he could earn an offer. But I'm thinking it may come sooner than that. Possibly during spring practice if they get out there and eval him then. They may not want to wait if they see enough there.
ye brown is another kevin spears,
Proud to support everything Louisiana
