Are we recruiting one or is there someone on the roster already? Thanks
I think Scardina is the kid the staff likes.
How about Conner Neighbors? He looked good when he played last season.

I've always thought he'd be a good candidate there. But he's such a good athlete, I think he's going to stick at either LB or DL. If for some reason, it doesn't work out there then I think fullback is a legit option. He'd be tremendous there, too.
Lewis Neal, if he doesn't produce at DE. I think he has great potential at DE but if he doesn't produce, he could take the Copeland route.
i think this is an undervalued question and i'll go as far to say that other than from mettenburger to rivers, from copeland to ??? is the biggest drop-off on the team. copeland is a tone-setter. when he's in the huddle, LSU football is at its essence.
i liked the kinnard swanson pursuit and i've always thought a beefed-up Lamar Louis could do that job. in addition to melvin jones mentioned here, we've heard lewis neal's name.
FB is an attitude position as much as it is anything else. i don't buy into the "we'll just move a tailback down" approach. guys like charles scott, stevan ridley, spencer ware and kenny hilliard have had marginal success. even with the increased skill set of those type of guys, situational packages with them haven't amounted to all that much. our tailbacks are the stars and they deserve the confidence gained from running behind a dedicated bowling ball.
i don't know the answer, but miles believes this position is scholarship-worthy (think brandon worle, dominique allen, james stampley rotated on to a scholarship). miles will address this by way of a position change or scholarship offer. i can't wait to see what he does.
Lamar Louis sounds like a good idea.
