I haven't had to listen to an LSU game on the radio in quite a while, but tonight I did and I've got to tell you Jim has lost his touch. Either he can't see the players on the field or he is just senile, but he can't keep up with the game. He has trouble picking up player's numbers, calls them by the wrong name, had us playing Utah at one point tonight. To be honest I couldn't tell where we were on the field. He would say the ball was down on the 11 and it would be the 25 or the pass was batted down, but then intercepted and run back for a TD. I've always enjoyed Jim's broadcasts and I don't expect him to be perfect, but geez after tonight it may be time to look to a younger and sharper broadcaster.
