You have no favorite boards.
Gruden is going to have to work harder - twelve months a year.
Is he good for Arkansas - we'll find out. Bring it on.
Did you miss the part about $24 million?
Raheem has no connections in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia or Texas. Those are our core states for recruiting. He coached in Florida, Kansas, New Jersey. How is he going to be difficult for us? Maybe his rep as a DC.
I damn sure would not want Gruden at LSU!
He hasn't recruited in college in 20 years, and in college recruiting is the key to success.
JMHO, of course!
I can think of a few college guys I would prefer over Gruden. The key to college football is player evaluation/recruiting, and player development. I hope he fills a staff with NFL guys who know little about recruiting. They will all be fired before they figure it out.
It isn't a week at the senior bowl and a week at the combine. It is many days on the back roads looking for those gems that Miles and staff are so good at finding.
Recruiting would be my only conern. Jim Mora Jr. coached one year in college as a GA back in 1984 and he has completely turned UCLA around. But the question is can he sustain it with recruiting. His current class is ranked 17th by 24/7, which is not bad, but I would have expected better with the resurrgence that UCLA has had. I know Gruden can coach, his success at Oakland and Tampa Bay proves that, but it won't matter if he can't recruit at the same level as Miles, Saban, Richt, etc.
Regards to All,
Yep - and Tenn is getting Dungy and Cowher is heading for Kentucky. Auburn is going to settle for John Madden.
Let's start them up guys. Can't leave all of the breaking stories to the other boards!
