On Wednesday afternoon, LSU defensive line coach Brick Haley gave Garrald McDowell some good news.
He sounds very positive about LSU, and that makes me feel good, as I was concerned that we had waited too long to get into the fray. He is a good player, but I hope we don't quit going hard for Street and Valentine.
Anyone with a HUDL account can find video of McDowell to share? I looked on YouTube and found nothing.
Seems a bit small for SEC
He does seem to be smallish but I heard a lot of good talk about his speed, athleticism and motor. The challenge is when he goes up against a SEC tackle who is 6'4" or bigger and he is trying to put his hands up to swat a pass down or trying to keep from having the Tackle grab him and hold him. How long are his arms? What is his wingspan? Why can't we get a prototypical five star DT? Most of them seem to be of the Bennie Logan overachievers. Anthony Johnson and Ego notwithstanding, of course.
Looks like a player to me!
if it doesn't work out for him on the DL, what about FB like Copeland. leading way for fournette
