On paper this win makes no sense

  • Fantastic game plan & executed to perfection. LSU played unbelievable. Again, it makes no sense

  • Sometimes it is literally the way the ball bounces. We have been on the fortunate end. We now are on the short end. Sux but I love me some LSU and I love our players. You want to talk about playing with heart? We saw that tonight!

Unlike last season, we seem to struggle as we get closer to goal line. Grabbing yards between the 20's have never been much of a problem this season. We don't have the same caliber of o-line to allow us to just force the ball in through the ground and we don't have the big WR to serve as a jump ball threat.

Like when the ball bounced up and hit Hairston in the arm nine yards into the 10 yards he needed to let the ball travel...

Tough loss for the Tigers, but boy did they leave everything out on the field. It's a young group that just played right with the best team in the country.

Not to nitpick because I am really upset about our fans arguing with each other tonight but imo our O-Lines was absolutely dominant tonight. We had one bad series but besides that, that is probably the best front 7 in the nation and we had over 400 yards on them. More positives from this loss than any win we have had all year outside of maybe South Carolina.

Yea I was thinking about the onside when I posted that. Also, speaking of young players I was not on the Jalen Mills bandwagon when we recruited him and I will admit I could not have been more wrong. He has future all-american first round pick written all over him! Honestly reminds me of PP7's freshman year.

This is our best o-line combination for the entire season since Chris Faulk went down. I don't think this o-line is as good as the one last season. The one from a year ago seemed to have gelled better and was oozing with experience until the national championship game. Hurst was not 100% in that game and JJ's inability to keep the defense honest with his arm made life extremely hard on the front 5. To take a quote from Miles, these guys are not as good as the team from last season but they have potential to become better by the end of the season.

  • That back shoulder throw to Landry for a TD was a thing of beauty... we havent seen any throw like that in 5 years!

If we had this Oline playing for the Florida game, then I think we win that game

Really...t-bob being driven in to our backfield 5 yards by everyteam....barksdale.oh my goodness last years line was terribble except for Faulk..let just start with how they didnt show up in NCG...no lets not they were just bad.Anybody missing Hurst.
The right side of the line is so much better... they were from the first game the two freshman started.Alexander and Turner what can you not say about these two saved our season..

  • Next year our offense will be amazing.

Mett with experience, Hill with a year under his belt, The O-line with Faulk coming back, Desean Smith, Odell, Leslie, Landry, and hopefully RSJ.

Question is... would you call it like you see it if you lost. I've been there, easy to come and say things when you win. The bottom line is... LSU is better than bama. You have Saban and won because of Les Miles decisions. We have an anchor on us and you have nitro.... and we still can beat you at any given time.

You're only here because you're waking up with a win that's going to add another trophy to your already full case. If we had half an incentive to win trophies, you would either staying on your board today or flaming over here. Go to your board.

Better? Please man. You played your best game of the year, we played our worst. You had an off week,a sub-par QB play the game off his life, and a bunch of WR catch EVERYTHING when they usually have multiple drops. AND you were playing at home at night. All this and you still lost.

We would beat you 4 out of 5 times and you just blew your 1 out of 5 chance.

I don't know that I would say LSU is better...but the reason you THINK you played your worst game of the year is because you play a weak schedule and LSU is the first good team you have played all year. Boneheaded playcalling, penalties, and decisions were the only reason Bama wins...and oh by the way...we did that last night with 3 of our O-line starters out of the game. Bama has a good team...but if you lose your left and right tackle along with your right guard then you turn into a very mediocre offense...and McCarron might not last the season. Bama won the game...but better than LSU? I sure didn't see any evidence of that.

I am sure you felt the same way when you lost last year in T-Town. The better team won. Sorry if that chaps your ass. I can't speak for the other Bama poster, but I have posted congrats after big losses. What I have NEVER done was celebrate how better Bama was in any loss. Look, LSU played a HELL of a game. Both teams left opportunities on the field. Bama just made the plays it needed to and won the game. Good luck on the rest of your season.

  • Each half was a different game. Bama easily won and dominated the first half 14-3. Lsu won the second half 14-7. Many mistakes by both teams. What about bama's fumble on LSU's 10 yard line, or our fumbled punt return to set lsu up with great field position? To say Bama didn't make mistakes or play a bad game is completely wrong.

Bama had two fumbles and one penalty...not sure where you get that they played a "bad" game. Not perfect but certainly not bad. Maybe they looked like they played a bad game because Bama fans are used to dominating mediocre teams but the truth is this was the first time this year Bama has played a good team. I do think Bama has the best O-line in the country and has managed to stay injury free...unlike LSU who has lost 3 starters.

  • We DID play our worst game. A lot of unforced mistakes that had nothing to do with LSU defense. The bad handoff on the 7 was a clear firstdown if not a TD. AJ overthrew several receivers including a wide open TD to Cooper. Etc, etc.

Our 6 yards per carry vs your 3. Face it, you played best game of your season and still not enough. You really think Mett could do that twice? Go back and watch that 2nd half and the ridiculous throws/catches that you guys made despite being blanketed on many of them. I've watched your receivers this season. I know how often they drop passes. Not last night....
