    Eight in a row?

....if Alabama hadn't already taken it from us.

  • Zignutz,

Interesting that I see you post this on the two 247 boards that I read, including one that doesn't care much nearly as much about Bama, Saban or college football as this one and would want it on their separate "other sports" board. Plus you don't say you're plugging your own blog--isn't that another form of spam?

Anyway, I think there is a pretty decent chance that the SEC does make it 8 in a row. I just hope (for many reasons, not all LSU driven) that it's not Alabama again.

I love any team that lines up, tees it up, faces off, toes the line, or otherwise competes for the LSU purple and gold. Bless them all.

I don't think so. It's a college football article so I posted it on college football sites.

It's more about my love affiar with the SEC. I used to be a blind B10 that dogged the SEC. But if you really open your eyes, it's easy to see just how much better that conference is. If I could get my wife to go for it I would move to the south for the football alone.

Hard to see anybody stopping the Tide with aj,cooper and yeldon still on the team.

Yeldon is good, and had the game winning TD, but LSU held him under 100 total yards... and Cooper didnt have a single reception vs LSU... I'll be fine with that type of production next year when we play again lol

Coop was injured didn't even play most of the game and good luck dealing with yeldon next year and this Henry guy is gonna be GOOD oh yea AJ is pretty good see the 2 rings :))

I hate AJ with ever fiber of my being, but he has really impressed me since last year's NCG (even though he did struggle vs us this year)... Henry is going to be a beast, but he better keep his weight under control, or he will be a DL before he even plays a snap lol. I really like Tyren Jones and think he will be better than Henry & Tepenney (if he doesnt flip to Arky). Obviously Bama has done a great job in recruiting like they always have done, but the talent gap on the field between LSU & Bama is very slim, as evident by our extremely close games in past few years... excluding the NCG of course lol!

AJ is the luckiest QB in the world. Has all day to throw and is the king of screen passes. 80%-90% of QBs in the country would thrive in that system. That's a scientific fact.

Wow lucky huh? He was lucky in the superdome last year as well I guess right? I get you wish he played for lsu but come on man give him credit he's a very good QB on a GREAT team how many quarterbacks could change OC's and be even better the next year?.

I was being a little facetious. I was impressed with a few throws throughout the year. Most recently one in the NC this year where he hit a guy on the sideline who was covered. I think Bret or Kirk commented on how great of a throw it was. Looked like it was going to be way out of bounds. Mostly he gets a lot of attention for those short passes or screens that turn into big plays. Or throwing to wide open tight ends in the end zone.

Gotta give him a lot of credit for his composure, intelligence, and confidence (I would be too with that line and that girlfriend), but I don't see much about his arm or 99% of his throws that are all that impressive. An above average QB though. I still think most QBs in the country would be successful under that system cause it doesn't require a lot from the QB and there's incredible protection.

His most talked about game, against LSU, he struggled for a lot of the game and then the final drive he threw to a few WIDE OPEN receivers on the sideline (easiest deep throw to make) and then dumped it off for the TD.

I'd love to hear differently cause I am always very happy to admit I'm wrong.

And I meant more lucky about the fact he is in that system and has that offensive line. Every QB would dream to have that. And that girlfriend.

Their OL absolutely dominated ND's front 7... I knew ND was overrated and that Bama's OL was good, but the complete dominance did shock me. We'll see how they do next year without DJ, BJ, and Chance
