You have no favorite boards.
With National Signing Day less than 24 hours away, let's hear who you guys choose. Who is your favorite recruit that LSU was able to snag?
It can be because you think he will make the biggest impact, the earliest impact or you just like his playing style. No real rules here.
I will chime back in with mine in a little bit. I am torn between a couple guys now.
"I guess you've just gotta find something you love to do and then... do it for the rest of your life." - Max Fisher
Tre White... a star on the field & in the classroom
It was close but he wins for me for several reasons
-he is an out of state stud, and that's always nice to flex out of state recruiting muscle
-he is at a position of need and because I love the skill sets he brings to that position
-seems like a smart young man who processed his decision well and made an educated mature decision
-tying into the above, he seems mature and responsible, but seems to be a great personable kid
-seems like a kid who will be loved at lsu for his tenacity, success and personality.
Very Glen Dorsey like to me!!!
Really excited about him.
I like Gilmore's personality the most. The guy whom I am most anxious to see get on the field in the future would be Jennings. He can be a real weapon if we bring the option back.
"That was Death Valley. It's where opponent's dreams come to die." - Miles
So many to name, but I'm going with Anthony Jennings. I have a feeling this kid will be an all SEC type QB.
Gilmore or Herron.
This is DLU after all.
Honestly mine is Duke Riley, I am really pulling for the guy but I also like what I have been hearing outta Anthony Jennings since he has been on campus. Dude loves to work and he fits the type of QB that is destined to succeed.
Gilmore/Brazil are my favorites personality wise.
"They're on our left, they're on our right, they're in front of us, they're behind us....They can't get away this time." Chesty Puller
well this is a hard question because of so many talented good character guys,
Greg Gilmore, he possibly handled his recruitment the best of any recruit i can remember in regards to how he handled himself and the thought process and business like way he went about it.
Josh Boutte, simply because he is one nasty SOB, and i love the big uglies
Lewis Neal because he is the Tyrann Mathieu of D Lineman in regards to his unprotypical size but yet he gets results (i think he plays this fall)
Jeryl Brazil, because i believe he will be a great ambassador for LSU, and an extremly talented guy
Tredavious White, because of his willingness to compete and show he is elite ( and he is ) future Thorpe winner imo.
Michael Patterson, because many forget hes in this class but he may have the highest ceiling in the class.
Shit,.... i just realized i listed almost half the class haha
Proud to support everything Louisiana
Jennings. I think when we look back in a couple years, his ability to make plays with his arm and legs will be the key to this class.
White - Being able to take away one side of the field is an absolute luxury and White gives us that kind of potential. We will be able to turn loose people like Herron, Neal, Patterson etc. because Chavis knows we got the back end locked down.
Special Teams -
Brazil - Jacoby Jones ring a bell?? That is the type of game breaking ability we have with this guy. Put the ball in his hands and watch him work. Period!

“There is no off switch on a tiger”
Tre White...arguably the best player in the class...was all LSU from early on in the process and has never wavered...fills a position of need...hails from my hometown...and a Valedictorian at his school to boot. I like a lot of these guys but Tre White is my favorite.
White is really smart, plus he's a beast! Brazil seems like a game changer. Rettig has the swagger and confidence you need in a starting qb. And I'm really excited about the lineman, Pocic and Bain especially. So hard to choose, this is an extremely solid class!

Melvon Jones and Desean Smith. Local guys.
Offense - Ethan Pocic - I think this kid is going to be a monster
Defense - Tredavious White/Frank Herron (tie) - both will serve as AA candidates before leaving LSU
Special Team - Duke Riley - he will be a team leader from an effort and motivation standpoint - that translates immediately on ST
Overall - this is a truly special class. And it's only Tuesday!!!
Hang on folks - the next 24 hours will be something to remember!
White for the strong statement that 'I'm from Louisiana and LSU is my school' or something along those lines. Greg Gilmore was always honest throughout the recruiting process. He fills an area of need and appears to be a very mature young man. The video of him with Brazil at the UA game was classic. Brazil has been an unofficial recruiter, which always helps.
