LSU will host its national Junior Day on Saturday where close to 300 prospects from several states are expected take an unofficial visit to check out LSU.
5* safety Edward Paris is visiting LSU again on Saturday
This is LSU’s second Junior Day of the year after it hosted “Boys from the Boot” on January 12 that was exclusive to only prospects from Louisiana.
Junior Day is not a camp so there are no workouts or testing done. It is simply a way for the student-athletes to learn more about what LSU has to offer from an athletic standpoint, as well as academically.
The festivities get started around 10 a.m. and will run into the early evening hours.
Throughout the day, prospects and those who accompany them, will listen to Les Miles address the attendees. Then prospects will break into their position groups and meet with their respective position coach on the staff.
Tours of the academic and athletic facilities will take place, along with the opportunity to meet with some academic advisors and counselors.
Lunch is usually held in Tiger Stadium and when the day is completed the attendees will have the opportunity to take in LSU’s men’s basketball game or baseball game.
Sandwiched in between all of that action is individual meetings with coaches for some prospects, and a one-on-one meeting with Miles himself to discuss LSU’s interest.
Geaux247 will be working the phones all day so make sure you check the message board and this thread for tidbits and updates throughout the day and into the night.
